  1. Well that someone is well misguided. The Dons sent a delegation to Madrid to get more tickets as we had 6000 going over. They upped it to 3000 from the 1500 they initially gave us, then on the day of the game opened another section that let in another 1500. There were tickets in the home ends easy to come by as well. However based on that, I highly doubt that Madrid will send as many as Bolton needs, that being said, will we need 5000?
  2. But they didn't actually clock him. They had to play catch up and claimed because they were doing 155 then he was doing similarly. No doubt he was, but it's not the first time coppers have used that ridiculous term to claim someone was going faster than they really were. Not saying that makes him right, but I wouldn't want to see that used to judge a speeders actual speed.
  3. We don't have means tested fines in this country. He got what anyone would have got.
  4. Don't agree. The cup is taken far more seriously in Scotland, you simply dont see weakened sides being put out in the cups. Last ten years has seen four different winners, and 9 different runners up - exactly the same as England. Even the ugly sisters usually put out fairly decent sides unless they pull a 2nd/3rd division side.
  5. Funny, I think she's a stunner, and yet she's rarely mentioned in the "hot" lists? Maybe it's just me?
  6. Alan Hutton as well, twice in the same day can't be good?
  7. Was he picked to play? Were Derby told not to put the ball in the air near Nolan as he had stitches in? If he wasn;t fit to head the ball, he shouldn't have played.
  8. True, hard to judge, I'm basing that off the number who stayed seated rather than stood to applaud the captain off the field.
  9. ........along with around 50% of the rest of the crowd. lot of knobs among your fellow fans it seems.
  10. We needed another thread for this? Booooooo, get off you hopeless forum poster! I cheered when his number went up, and for the first time that I can ever recall at a football match, did not applaud one of my own team's players off the pitch. Nolan was complete dogshit last night, his passing was woeful, his dancing twirling back to the ball "tackles" are embarrassing, his close control is totally non-existent, something that is possibly the most important part of a midfielders make up, and while his volley was very well taken, his other two chances, plus his two fanny arsed attempts to repeat his backheeled goal of a few weekls ago were awful, and he didn't win a header all night.
  11. Considering these are the ones being blamed for low attendance, there seems to be a bit of a conundrum? So are the low crowds due to Johhny come lately's, or have the die hard fans left and only the JCLs are in the stands booing Nolan? Tricky one that. Maybe, just maybe mind, the fans who are going to the Reebok week in week out, are fed up of seeing this guy, who clearly isn't EPL standard, holding us back?
  12. No negative vibe from me bolty, I'm very positive since Norman Wisdom got the bullett, and I agree we should really have won easily last night against amuch improved Derby, nevertheless Nolan was gash in every aspect of his game, there's none so blind.........
  13. Sammy Lee got one win, and saw positives in drawing against that very same team, he would have been cartwheeling. It was a good result which was the main thing. Guthrie played well, Willy looked good at last when he came on, and we knocked it on the ground a lot once Davies went off, not sure how you managed to miss that? I've seen much much worse at the Reebok than last night's showing.
  14. He also: couldn't tackle, couldn't head, and most importantly failed to make a decent pass, or control the ball first time on any occassion he got it. Still, let's get behind him eh? The guy (and Campo) had absolute shockers last night, thank god at least Guthrie had something about him to save our midfield from extinction.
  15. Interesting thought, he did have a lot of injury problems. What about those other players, did they spend a lot of time on the treatment table? R.I.P. Phil.
  16. I was at the game, and it was a howler. He certainly makes more mistakes than Cech, not Robinson, but then you're comparing him to probably the worst keeper in the league. Probably on a level, or perhaps below the other two on this season's form. There's making a mistake, and making an absolute howler like he did Wednesday. And he's had a couple of those this year.
  17. Nope, I'm with you, but then this season I'm looking at any bottom half team losing to a top half team whoever they may be.
  18. Two that come immediately to mind from 2007 Charlton long range shot right through his legs. Newcastle free kick floated in that he stood still for Jussi has been poor this year by his standards, he won points in 2006 no doubt, but he's been error prone this calendar year, I'd take the money and give Al Habsi a run.
