  1. It's less than 20 minutes on the Metro from Sol or Opera stations, OPera is better as you don't change and is only about 300 yards walk from Sol square.

Sadly, at the last minute I decided to go. What a ragging dump that place is. As for the football, let's just forget that bit.

Bollocks. So everyone on here sits like a church mouse? And even if they did, that stops the "noisy" fans from going? WHy exactly? If you all turn up you'll make the same noise as ever. As excuses for non-attendance goes, this is the worst yet. If you don't want to go, then that's up to you, to blame not going on the fans that actually go, I don't know what else to say, you should probably move to Liverpool, everyone's fault but your own is their mantra.
  5. you'll see when you get there.

  8. The Spanish bars are shite, there are three or for IRish ones, they are the ones to go to.
  9. Good luck with that. You'll find there was no trouble at all from the Aberdeen fans. OR maybe, the HEad of Security and two plain clothes coppers (Aberdeen CID) who were mingling with the Aberdeen fans and got batoned were actually causing troubl;e?
  10. There are a few Irish bars around Sol aquare, and a really good one just off Plaza Mayor. Sol was the place to be whne Aberdeen were in town. You should try to get a hotel close to there if you can.
  11. Actually not the case at all. There were a handful of casuals, but this wasn't a casual scrap in any way. The Madrid sites (we had a MAdrid ST holder giving us heads up on one of the Dons forums) were all aware that Aberdeen were not Rangers, and that they didn't expect to see any of the appaling behaviour that Rangers had recently exported to Barcelona. The mood all week was tremendous, fans mixing freely, and even down at the Stadium pre-game the fans were mingling in the bars anbd in the streets. In the bar you can see around where the flares started going off, there was a time-about sing song where we'd sing, then them. Sadly just before kick-off a section of their Frente who had been down a side street charged into the DOns fas throwing flares, apparently they were quickly chased off, and nothing really happened, other than the riot police waited until the Dons fans made any move (ignored the flare throwers completely) and indisciminantly battered anyone wearing a Dons scarf/top. Believe me, there was no reputation preceding us, just like Bolton, but that doesn't mean you won't see any of this crap going on. Get there early, and then get into the ground before any nonsense starts. Also the Madrid pickpockets (especially on the Metro) are hellish, be very very careful of your wallet and valuables. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=iakuyblqKGk http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=TrtaNfe_BvA&...feature=related
  12. One and the same. Madrid is not one of those cities where sleezyjey dump you 45 miles away like Stansted/London. MEtro into centre is quick and easy.
  13. Good that innit? Can you just imagine teeling your missus that not only does she not get to the works do (fair enough many work that way), but that there would be loads of hand picked women there. Now call me nieve, but what would the wags now be expecting?
  14. Can't actually recall a good game from him, leave well alone, we have enough midfielders, we certainly don;t need Ricky G competing in tha tdepartment when we havn't got a single competitor for his place at LB
  15. do you want the address? ::::::::
  16. Bit surprised to see no hate for the rebels? I actually like them, although I used to work with one of them so I might be biased. Also like the Championays(sp?) music as the teams come out. No more cuts Bolton, we're down to the stripped out RS Mexico now, no need to go further ty.
  17. Hadn't noticed the flags had gone as well. No fireworks, no I feel good, no flag bearers, and queues for food/drink that are much quicker than last year. Someone's at work at 'Bok. Now, can someone hide the ragging drums
  18. Doyle Brunson Michael Winner Johnny Vegas
  19. December is pretty soft fixture wise, although 5 wins from 5 like last year is dreamland of course, it's the month that made the season.
  20. Have they got to be unique for each poster?
  21. He went to the Bok, contributed nothing, there's free car parking but he'd rather pay, yet not pay to get in, or pay for the Reebok car park itself which would have put at least some money into the club, and yet has the gall to complain about the club? Great attitude mate, I applaud you
  22. So why's he going to the shadow FS, and not the Foreign Secretary?
  23. Why? He doesn't have to get a testimonial just cos he's done 10 years.
