  1. Not really, he's still a Bolton player. He's also backed out of at least a couple of tackles that have lead to goals recently too. Don't know when his contracted to but for us to improve we need to recruit a better version of a Sheehan.
  2. I've gradually come to the opinion that sheehan is overrated. Physically weak and is quite easy to neutralise. He has his moments when teams back off and let him play. He rarely gets forward and given our cm, he is down the pecking order. He can't compete with his equivalent type of player in top 6 of div 1.
  3. Says exactly what we (I), think too
  4. This hurts and it's been an unwelcome dull ache for a few weeks. Understandable to apportion blame, so with a broad brush; Sharon should have sacked IE after Wembley. Not doing so has cost us most of the season. The recruitment team saw fit to sign to many powder puff players, for big money, when experienced hard men were needed. SS has been diplomatic and patient but spoke many truths last week. Despite them all being conditioned to IE' ways, they are professionals who must be more versatile to adapt to a different managers ways. Or maybe not? New manager, new recruitment team and a big bag of money wisely spent plus a big cull of weak players, contracts permitting, is a bigger challenge than when SS signed his deal with us in January.
  5. Jones is spent. Sharples, too slow and lightweight Big dave, just a battering ram. GT stand out again for his drive and industry.
  6. This doesn't reflect well on SS. Other than the brum game we are rudderless?
  7. So painful to witness. Our consistent inability to get the ball forward or defend. Utter shambles.
  8. Not sure if big dave can kick a ball or not. Let's see, good luck to him.
  9. Agreed, moving the right men out to make room will be tough though?
  10. 😂😂😂
  11. I put that point forward previously for big Vic, but "ever" seems to be a stretch. Some WW bods have a lot of aged scar tissue and remember random names from 70s and 80s, for worst ever. Etete is an excellent candidate for worst in 10 years. Yes he is worse that Victor
  12. A replacement with someone who tries as hard but is a better player is surely doable for us?
  13. GT always gives 100% and unfortunately that is his biggest asset. As a footballer I think he is limited and mid div 1 is his level.
  14. Agreed, it was blind loyalty and bad business to not sack IE after Wembley. Then to tolerate him to the point of allowing him to waste money in the January window, means they have played a big part in this shite season and means there is so much to do to get the wheels back on.
  15. Just thinking about this. No stand out candidates really. Going through the squad, I'm struggling to pick one. I'll abstain, speaks volumes of the season
  16. Angry man, agree with every word. Big challenge going forward
  17. Absolutely this...
  18. Slightly worried at the lack of impact SS has had. They are IE players, I know but even so? I echo the criticism of our players and apparent lack of style or a plan. I was 1 of big vics biggest critics, but have seen etete, he has to be up there for worst player in a decade. A 6'4" target man who no one passes to. He does nothing well. On a championship wage from Cardiff, what a joke, probably on about £5k a week. My blood is boiling. Shame on the individuals, which scout is going to want any of them. Wholesale positive changes in the summer, or we are on a slippery slope, I'm afraid
  19. Declaring the budget is never a good move...
  20. I know we should say this of any player, but GT gives absolutely everything, every time. But for all of that, he is clumsy and crude. I think mid table div 1 is the peak of his level IMHO
  21. I know, but sadly, it's true in the 1st half
  22. Mentally and physically weak. Bereft of game tactics, quality or leadership. The transformation required to compete next season, looks like a very big ask. And expensive too.
  23. He can't resist a side foot flick. Can't head for toffee. Plays like he's in a 5aside game. Has no pace. As with a few others we paid way too much for his services, as with a few others, he wouldn't get a kick in the championship. Not really sure what his best position is, he seems to get a free rein.I wanted to like him, but it difficult to....
  24. A wins a win; Numerous references to evatt ball today. As with evatt, we we really struggle to get the ball forward, no movement from up front, without a striker and no forward running with the ball from midfield. Such a poor standard of football on display today from both teams. Maybe Farino edges mom for us with a 7/10. Struggling to identify a Bolton player above that today. We've also been awful on family days before, as we have in local derbys, so I guess that's an improvement. There won't be many kids recruited today, wanting to go to see more of that. A wins a win though, right?
  25. I agree, but they are evatts players. But I don't see much brand SS apart from the brum game
