You think Tutu is off? He started Wednesday lol.
-
I think playing Wednesday night means we will see changes. Toal will deffo come back. I'd expect Cogley back (unless he's got a knock). I think Mcatee comes in for Randall. I'd expect Erhahon to drop out for Sheehan. I think long term Erhahon Simons is the partnership. These are coming here with confidence. Hopefully they fancy it and push on and leave gaps for us to exploit. Let's have more shots on target and we will be reet.
-
Might suit us if they have a go and leave spaces. Hopefully no low block.
-
Hull must have some good midfielders to let him go for 300k.
-
This was Evatts thing. He didn't like low XG shots so we'd only shoot in good positions which meant stat lines like 70 percent possession, 3 shots. Now were kind of the opposite. I don't think its the amount of shots that's the problem, it's most aren't on target. We need to hit the target more often. I think with Burstow and Dalby we have to be willing to get the ball in the box more. I hate the winger getting it and the ball ending back with the centre half through being too patient.

If we lose subs are bad, if we win Subs are good. Cool. Not like we've got 2 games in 4 days or anything.
-
But when that ball is going out to the winger conway doesn't need to get there first , he just needs to hold him up, allow players to get back into position and stay in shape. He went for the interception to break away and missed it , allowed them to get a two on one in the last 10 mins when we were 1 nil up. It's a poor decision. One that cost us. By your rationale no goal will ever be a defenders fault because we can just blame the player who gave away possession.
-
He made the wrong one. Something that happened on the halfway line isn't the reason for conceding a goal. We give the ball away numerous times on the halfway line every game.
-
Easy targets getting the stick but if you want to point blame for their goal it's on Max Conway. He made a decision to try and intercept the ball and missed it and they had a two on one then. Amazing player , great future, but that goal was on him.
-
He took him off because he was knackered. Both of the midfielders looked fucked last 20. We lost control 10 minutes before their goal. We needed to make that change earlier. It's 2 points lost there. Game should of been done and we've been Sucker punched again. We need to figure out how to get more shots on target because for all the dominance, there isn't enough that comes of it.

And the time wasting begins.....cunts

He worked hard but he can't hold the ball up. He's too little. Totally different system now with one up top. The one has to at a bare minimum be able to deal with long balls, and hold it up. Not dion's game.

I think he sees him as a winger but one that's not better than gale, ACD or Cissokho. Against Plymouth after he brought cogley on , tutu played wing for the last 20. Also worth nothing it was Schuey who played him as a winger last year after he came in. He just isn't getting in this team as a winger with these options. Maybe they don't want to sign another RB because they have 3/4 players who don't specialise in that position but can play there and the funds are better used elsewhere. In regards to Tutu , it's difficult to put him ahead of gale and ACD as a winger. We've not seen enough of Cissokho, but he looked good when he came on at Barnsley. I think Tutu is being used as a utility player this year covering the wing and RB.
-
Barnsley also have the type of striker who's probably retiring soon.
-
You were saying ??
-
What patterns? The goalkeeper let an easy goal in. Other than that and 1 mcgoldrick chance 1st half, they had nowt. What worrying patterns are you seeing ???
-
We should of won that. Keeper mistake. Absolute rubbish keeping. If we're slagging miller off we have to call out TSL for that. Cost us. Garbage. We didn't create ebough for my liking but I'd of took a point before so I'm happy with the result.

Pretty 50/50. Think ref is blowing for everything. It's too stop start. Could go either way. If any game is a Mcatee game it might be this one. Against his former team.

Sheffield Wednesday (H) - League Cup Round 1
Arrested development replied to Zico's topic in Terrace Talk
Leeds next round. If we get knocked out it's hardly the end of the world getting knocked of a tournament we have fuck all chance of winning. Concentrate on the league. -
People aren't objective when it comes to Mcatee. The clip of ACD's amazing skill and run shows Mcatee making the right run and ACD should of slipped him in but he chose to shoot. None of the subs had to do much yesterday when they came on. Close down, keep the shape see the game out. Schuey made a lot of changes yesterday and it's clear they weren't all dropped. It's horses for courses. Mcatee and Randall will both get opportunities in that 10 role. Let's just see how it pans out until Christmas.

They played Evattball. Possession, pass it about, create nowt. Offered no threat whatsoever. We were good today. Really good. Simons is a proper player. He just keeps things ticking over. Does everything well, pass , tackle, just a proper footballer. Sheehan looked good next to him aswell. Good to have options. What a player Max Conway is going to be. Wingers both causing problems, especially ACD who was excellent. Burstow MOTM for me though. Proper number 9 performance and hot his goal. Up the fucking whites
-
I think Gale was a bit greedy a couple of times but his pace is causing problems. I think he's gonna get better over time. They still all don't seem quite on the same wavelength.
-
Having someone who can hold the ball up makes all the difference. Burstow been really good. Worked both centre halfs, holds ball up well. That's the type of striker this system needs. Not an Alfie May type. Similar to Stockport for me , better team but got the goal this half. We need to keep switched on. No silly mistakes and hit them on the break. Tutu and Sheehan both taken off about 65 for ethan and JDC. I'd potentially even bring on JDC now but I don't think he will.
-
You'd play a guy who played in the 8th tier last season who you've never seen play in a competitive game ahead of Mcatee and Randall ?....who's not a number 10????? LOL
-
We didn't lose the midfield battle against Stockport. In fact id argue first half we was the dominant midfield. Second half was even Stevens. 4231 is gonna be the bread and butter now. We need to see how this looks when Erhahon gets involved but Morley was fine against Stockport. People are forgetting how good he was last year for Wycombe and then us. Sheehan is a different type of midfielder but it's good to have different options. With no 10, striker will be isolated and that brings about a new set of issues. SS im sure will chop and change but the 4231 worked fine for me, we just didn't put the ball in the net.
