  1. Always extra sweeter when a team time wastes all half and concedes in the extra added time they caused.
  2. Absolute nonsense.
  3. Great goal by Conway that. Beat half the team and a cool finish. Looks a player.
  4. We're on it this pre season us.
  5. Will Keane fits the bill of the experienced guy to rotate in and play when needed. It depends on what his wage demands are. If he came, it would piss those wankers up the road off. He's 6 ft 2, can play on his own and hold the ball up. He can bring others into play. Seems like he's surplus to requirements at PNE. This seems a more logical signing if the fee and wages are reasonable. I don't get these people who are clamouring for us to get Dion back. He cant play up top by himself, he can't hold the ball up. He's not the type of striker we need.
  6. It's not near Gary Madine levels
  7. Be surprised if Dion is still there when the transfer window closes. Alfie may Dion and Joe Taylor are all small strikers. They don't need three of them.
  8. The fact that we agreed a 375k deal with another midfielder when we could of just gone after matete tells me we aren't after him. The fact that Schumacher has had him at two clubs and hasn't been linked with us once , tells me we aren't after him. He can't pass water. He's 4 ft tall. He's shite.
  9. He's reported as being paid the top end of our wage structure. You don't pay someone top end wage to sit on the bench. Nobody can predict he's going to be a sure fire hit but they are paying him like they think he will be. Plus I don't see a world where he agrees to come if he's not been given assurances of starting. You mention his 2 goals in the EFL but chose not to mention the much more recent 15 spl goals last season. There's no doubt we need at least one more forward. I doubt they will want to spend a million pound on someone when they are paying dalby. So I would think Kenny is more likely to end up being a loan considering he's signed a new deal at Celtic. A loan makes more sense.
  10. Definitely not him. He's not good enough. He's not good enough with the ball. How anyone can watch him last season and want him back is baffling.
  11. No thanks lol
  12. Point is are they going to sign a striker that is better than dalby ? They've signed him to be the guy. Going spending a million pound on a forward to sit on the bench doesn't make any sense. It also doesn't make sense to spend a million pound on a forward so dalby is on the bench when he's getting a decent salary by all accounts. They need another forward but he doesn't have to be a million pound 20 goal a season guy. He needs to have the right attributes to be able to rotate in when required. Sharples Ahmed might may end up on loan. Dempsey doesn't play in the two, he plays further forward. In a 4231 he has to be considered a 10.
  13. Dalby is clearly going to be the main striker. We don't need to spend big money on another striker. We just need someone of a similar profile who can fill in when dalby is injured or rotated. A loan would make more sense. We need to get another midfielder and possibly another defender, Who can cover at full back if Taylor is out for a while.
  14. He's going to Wycombe.
  15. Loving the width so far. Can't remember the last time we had so much width high up the pitch. Big Dave needs to move more. Too static. Duberry broke away then and Dave didn't even make a run to help him.
  16. Etete was a never a replacement for dion. Totally different type of player on a short term loan. They were looking at him regardless of dion being sold or not. We could replace him with half of that. Easily. Hes never a captain either. Part of a team that failed twice. Take the 1.2 and improve the team
  17. Could be an absolute beast but struggles with execution. Sounds like the sort of player you happily take 1.2 mill for.
  18. They were after that ceesay even if Thommo stayed so I think they will definitely look for another midfielder. We can hit multiple positions with 1.2 million. It's a good fee for a player that wasn't going to be guaranteed to start.
  19. Surely father time will hit Mcgoldrick at some point , he's 37. Just don't see him being prolific at his age back up a league.
  20. A question I've been asking myself for at least 6 months
  21. Duberry is now a left footer playing on the right. Happens with wingers all the time. Schon has no end product.
  22. Barrow have a few ex wanderers in their line up, Tyler Walker and Jack Earing and Elliot newby was also on our books as a youngster.
  23. On paper I like Blackpool's business so far. I think they will be in the mix this season. They are going for established players in the main. Not much sell on value with Honeyman and Horsfall , but they should be quality league 1 players next year. They've also just signed that palace player we were linked with , the young RB
  24. I'm happy with 4 for the season for those two positions.. But if we can sell thommo for a million (or whatever we deem acceptable), then bring in his replacement and another player, then to me that's good business. The fee we agreed for ceesay was 375k or something similar. If Sheehan was the one who was wanted then id be happy to sell him but thommo is the only one who's wanted. Just makes sense given he's not playing every game.
  25. If we're playing 4231, then there's currently 4 players for two spots. GT, XS, JS, AM. Simmons has been brought in for a reason, so he seems destined to start. Morley has been in the best form of the other three. At best Thomasson is now in a rotation. He's not gonna be 1st choice playing week in week out anymore. He's the one who's attracting interest, so as long as the fee is right, we might as well cash in and reinvest.
