Port Vale (H) - EFL Trophy Last 16
Dalby and Christie run as if they have bricks in their shorts, out paced so often.

Lovely pass form Forino straight to their keeper, what a match so far! another highlight being Taylor escaping a yellow.

Time for a new manager?
Wonder if Mbappe feels guilty

Great game! so much drama and loads of missed chances for both sides, knew Madrid would get a moment to earn a penalty shootout after the red card, but was a terrible effort to miss the sitter and then a good headed chance after that also tame at the keeper.

Time for a new manager?
Still a few weeks left of the transfer window, can we even afford to let him go? results are shocking.

Peterborough United (A)
wonder what new manager we could get, harsh if they don't get some transfer help to replace some of these shit players

how kind of Tutu to pass it calmly to their goalkeeper.

Peterborough United (A)
Abysmal side, why was Gale shooting over twice?! who's recruiting these goalkeepers? wtf was GJ doing! no shots again on target, pissed of players, player errors, it's all going wrong.

Northampton Town (H)
This is beyond dross, 1 scruffy goal vs them 3 teams and 0 goals in 2 games at home, 0 shots on target today, what are they doing?? Ruining the season, and now 3 away games so no chance of 9 points, which we need just to make up for what they've done these last 3 games, regardless of how unrealistic that seems given we are shit away from home and now have turned shit altogether. new signings to improve us drastically or get rid of the manager.

Dalby got rewarded for that miss v Mansfield with 90 minutes, what a cross near end to justify him playing till the end
-
Mansfield Town (H)
That Dalby miss is still playing on my mind, like it just brings memories of Dion's misses away to Portsmouth and Leyton orient 2 year ago and we know how costly they ended up being, I know without him we'd not have scored the winner vs Rotherham, but that was unreal, unmarked from that range and you hit keeper!!??!?!?

Mansfield Town (H)
Everyone around us win, we lose to that utter dross (1 goal vs them in 2 games and against 10 men) Dalby as to score from there being a striker from 6 yards unmarked, pathetic, game is likely won in that moment, goalie equally as bad for their goal, now we are 3 games adrift from top 2 and now our home run as gone and we are crap away. 9 and 10 in January TW.

analysts at clubs with the coaching staff won't just ignore the performance if their teams wins a game, why would it be any different in a match thread about the game itself from people who viewed the 90 minutes, no one is unhappy we won, we've played far better this season and dropped points. winning 1-0 vs 10 men and not being convincing is always going to lead to people mentioning the performance, you only need to look at Everton vs Man U to see it's not easy to beat 10 men at times, but I think a lot would agree that the performance vs Mansfield won't see consistent results vs the rest and may not have been good enough to beat 11 men on the night. It wasn't a terrible performance, we had some moments to extend our lead, but it wasn't say for example like how we played v Bradford recently or when we could have scored double figures vs Oldham, when you're team is playing 10 men, your mind kinds thinks what a great way now to batter them and for us to see plenty of attacks and shots etc and we only got 1, when we should be killing the game without it being nervy, the expectance of beating them and it being a breeze didn't occur, along with our overall away form, it's not a win that will erase the concerns of that.

3 points but not a win that'll bring any away day confidence I'd not of thought, we had a man advantage for so long and the only goal we scored was quite fortunate how it ended going to Tutu in the box, would have liked to see us be ruthless and got 3 or 4, 'cos some refs may have seen all the appealing and given a pen against Christie near the end and drawing 1-1 vs 10 men would have brought so much negativity on the back of being thumped by League 2 too. good game for 3 more coming up, ultimately wins are all that counts, but I'd not have been confident that tonight vs 11 would have been a win, it may have been as you can never tell, just seemed slow at times, like we was happy with what we had, Gale was lively though and Duberry maybe had a case for a pen himself.
