Leyton Orient (H)
3 big games coming up ( all are big tbh) before a crucial away game v Lincoln who are 2nd, big game for them at home to Bradford on Tuesday, then we are hoping for Wigan and Plymouth to do us favours at home.

Leyton Orient (H)
Hopefully a start of something, can't follow this up with dropped points v Burton As soon as I saw Burstow was taking it, my immediate reaction was he's gonna go down middle, last minute and that he hadn't scored for ages, thankfully the goalkeeper didn't think this way. No idea why we didn't get an indirect freekick after that, the goal we conceded was similar to Doncaster away were a ball is fizzed in low and ends up near the back post for an opposition player, yet a lot of our similar balls gets blocked by the first man or like Christie in first half were it's cleared, the moment we created a great chance Conway put it wide. Certainly not a performance to get rid of any lingering doubts, but 3 points and we've got a decent gap vs the teams outside the playoffs at least

as to be one of our fastest ever 2nd half goals? nice finish by Gale, who needed that.

Conway as the chance to change the mood but na, puts it wide instead, 3 and a half home games without a goal, 2 tame shots on target, JM Given a rare start and has been terrible. 3 goals in 8 games since Sheehan last minute winner v Rotherham. lucky goal by Dempsey at Doncaster tap in from a decent cross at Peterboro 1 big goalkeeper mistakes from Wigan goalkeeper Huge week coming up in TW to change this attack, ACD our best player injured for who knows how long despite him being out of form himself

no more room for slip ups, as to be 6 from 6, though we said that vs Mansfield and Northampton, so nothings a given, at least we are surely due some goals at home with 3 without.

Stevenage (A)
JM's end product was poor, I get the call for him to start because he was heavily involved, but he had one bad pass that led to danger like Gale did too, 1 bad cross, 1 bad shot wide and 1 tame shot at keeper, playing him would be in hope rather than expectation a bit like continuing with Burstow in hope he'll discover his goalscoring form from early in season.

Like a Mark Davies type?

this is why points that may be decent in isolation aren't half as good when you're playing catch up, it's just one less game we have to catch up and a game in hand for those ahead to extend, too many dropped points, if the playoffs is our only hope, 2 of them will be away, lets hope we change our ways before then and perhaps bring in some attackers because this version of Burstow and Dalby as our front 2 isn't scary for defenders or reliable in any way, even ACD as seemingly lost his magic

First half ACD followed Tutu in crossing low and not beating the first man, 2nd half, Sheehan twice as freekicks from either side, both easily cleared, Toal does an underhit long field switch intercepted that led to a break, JM does a drilled cross that led to GJ being late and getting a yellow, chance for a counter in injury time and Gale over hits the pass to JM. Carelessness, if you can't play well in general play, there are still opportunities to snatch something from a moment of quality, the game was just filled with errors, I dunno if others noticed it, but both team were doing short passes near the touchline and they passed to no one and gave the ball away for a throw in, then the camera man would switch to some random stuff and when it went back live again the ball had been turned over again, goalkeepers kicking to the opposition time and time again also, I'll remember this game for these next few hours before sleep but will happily let it slip into the back of mind and be forgotten,

Must have been an advertisement deal for that gilet their manager was wearing, I have no clue what he was called so why do you keep showing him, it was like the Colombia v England game in 2018 WC were they kept showing James Rodriguez watching match.

Stevenage (A)
What a dire dire game that was, little to no quality, JM came on and whilst his 2 shots and cross that led to GJ getting booked were bad at least he was involved a lot, Gale was so poor. Dunno what the big deal is about long hopeful goal kicks and in play kicks from the keeper, but % accuracy on them must have super low, GJ is mistake ridden, Tutu was was may brighter than ACD who seems to have lost his ability. It's a point, but why can't we take any confidence from seemingly 'big wins' and go on a run, their penalty shout looked like it would be given very often too and whilst I'm on a moan, whoever was in charge of what the camera shows, they were showing the sidelines and the weather a lot when the game was still being played.

Burstow as been dreadful, cannot control anything.

Some goal from Brighton

Wigan Athletic (A)
Aye looking at the highlight closely it was a lot of swerve, no keeper should get beat when it goes almost bang on middle of goal, must have been a predetermined dive to his right and the swerve as taken it past that poor decision.
-
Wigan Athletic (A)
I doubt we'll see the same, given he as mentioned tiredness recently, Stevenage in bad form, but it's hard to imagine any team being as poor as Wigan were today and that's taking nothing away from Bolton, 'cos we were far superior.
-
Wigan Athletic (A)
Dominated the game, really one sided bar that one chance for Wigan, new keeper had no saves to make That's our first away win all season vs 11 men in normal time without the opposition down a man or us having a extremely rare, perhaps once in a lifetime comeback win in added time with 2 goals, so it's a huge win and hopefully means something going forward. It wasn't without fault of course, you'll not always get a deflected goal and without that we'd be ruing our misses again, but we won, so well done and on to Stevenage 👍

Wigan Athletic (A)
So the ref thinks during that entire half apart from 15-20 seconds the ball was never stopped and was always 'in play' just enough so we don't have a corner.

Todays Games
20 million for Guehi is mad even if he can go for free in summer, good for England too playing with better players, though I doubt he'll have as much defending to do at City compared to Palace but his overall game should develop more under Pep.

Transfer Gossip
what did we get Broome for? 4 goalkeepers in and himself, no more cup games, gonna be waiting on mistakes or injuries to play, unless these 2 new goalies will be rotated which doesn't seem likely. lets hope shots straight at them don't go under them or they don't come for corners properly 🙏

Good luck with GJ infront of you.

3 games without a goal at home, useless away from it and our squad is full of players who ain't good enough to fill in and beat the worst team in League 1 at home. that said, we have a chance at 0-0 to score from the pen spot, but once again a ref disgraces himself and there is no var to embarrass them
-
Port Vale (H) - EFL Trophy Last 16
ref giving them fouls but we don't get a pen, what an utter utter cheat

Get rid of Taylor, never play him again.

funny how these ref's see non fouls on the goalkeepers but we never get pens
