  1. It's got a 'sports-bra' style design feature. ITK.
  2. Why would anyone send their kid anywhere? Here's a novel approach, why not teach them right from wrong yourself and not fill their small spongelike minds with gibberish, fear, dogma, hate and confusion. Which is pretty much all of them but three in particular.
  3. I just turned up - they let me have a look around (Fletcher Street). I went to the local church same day - doors shut, probably bumming an altar boy.
  4. He's undoubtedly talented though, can he not just be made to play in a Hannibal Lecter style muzzel?
  5. Has anyone else heard of the blue banana? Or John Prescott's plan for a northern supercity? They're both worth a Google.
  6. The Milanese wouldn't be impressed with being lumped in as a 'second city' - they very much consider themselves at the business end of Italy.
  7. Some bloke writing on the subject (local councils doling out money to religious groups) - there's some actual facts and figures... http://trialbyjeory.wordpress.com/2013/06/24/council-gives-600k-to-faith-buildings-for-repair-works-the-vote-buying-begins/
  8. It was meant to follow the post on the new King of Spain (they tried to blow up Juan Carlos when he opened the Guggenheim). Good to hear you're enjoying yourself though Valencia is on the list, probably when they have that Fallas burning thing perhaps...
  9. Have they no new museums needing opening in The Basque Country?
  10. I think the drawn with Italy situation in qualifiying for France was more due to England not having to qualify for Euro '96 as host nation. Drop in ranking due to two years of friendlies couldn't be rectified by five competitive games in the Euros.
  11. The French got rid of their nobs and look at them. Do we want to be more like the French? I think not. 'Liberte, egalite, fraternite...' that slogan is like some kind of sick joke, it should be: Shrug shoulders, smoke a Gauloise, chomp on onions and go ''eee awwn eee awwn eee awwn''
  12. You're both presuming we're on a linear path upward - toward science and humanistic enlightenment. What if we're at, or indeed have passed, the apex of an arc? That belief in science and freedom of thought and person are on a downward spiral and the propogation of fairy tales, the dragging of knuckles and the gnawing on bones and pointing at the moon are presently gathering pace for a comeback?
  13. Regarding the viewpoint that certain communities are extremely fiscally aware, let's say I've had experience of witnessing this behaviour just as much, if not more so, amongst themselves. I think a lot of (white) folk take it as some personal slight or reverse racism, this erm...attitude of being very careful with spending.
  14. I was thinking more along the lines of... ''I live about six or seven minutes walk away...'' Which I presume some 'whities' do. I would hope they'd be objecting if a Wayne Walker wanted to build a big meat emporium or Mecca a huge Bingo Hall, I'd also like to hope potential buyers (white British buyers) of property in the area would be equally put off by a big Meat shop or Bingo palace - but I fear, in reality, a Mosque would be seen as worse. It then becomes a buyer's market for those without such reservations, ironically, folk for whom a huge nearby Mosque would be seen as a plus point would theoretically be able to buy at a reduced market value. I can acknowledge concerns of folk who live nearby, I also think the attitude and lack of awareness from the likes of Harkin stinks, but I also think the whole affair hasn't reflected well on anyone from the town. I also think outlanders - whether they be UAF, EDL or poets who know it's (shite) should keep out of issues concerning our town.
  15. The immediate area may well be, but I'm presuming it's size will make it visible from 'white' enclaves or areas - without going into the rights and wrongs of it, if you were selling up it would no doubt limit the pool of potential buyers, it becomes a buyer's market, attitudes that are, say, less keen on cultural diversity, in turn aid those who arguably aren't too keen on cultural diversity either - and that statement makes sense somewhere. I suspect you know all this and are just playing Shaytan's advocate.
  16. It (an area gaining an asian majority) can and often does depreciate the value of a property, the whos and whys of it are pretty distasteful but it is an undeniably real phenomenon. People claiming this doesn't happen merely adds fuel to the view of folk being 'blinkered' or preaching from 'ivory towers/leafy suburbs' ...
  17. There's only you (and scallywell perhaps?) that lives in the area, there's someone from ten miles away writing racist shite within this thread that's dragging down valid arguments against from any residents who actually live there.
  18. It's not though is it? As Gonzo mentioned earlier, a lot of the ones who'd normally be chipping in on the anti-anti side have grown understandably weary of pissing in the wind and steered clear of contributing to these ever frequently occuring Muzzie threads... Soon the only ones contributing will be the 'against' (Islam) posters and that isn't a healthy debate, it's embarrassing.
  19. Second blatant handball by Croatia...
  20. Sometimes google searches for bizarre things lead to other clubs' forums, I hope nobody from another club happens upon this thread by accident, it's an embarrassment.
  21. What can they possibly be getting away with in Athy? Gobbing in the food of their racist customers? Pinching from the tip jar? Re-serving leftover onion chutney and poppadoms?
  22. Proportion of Muslims in UK - 4.84% Proportion of Muslims in UK Prison System - 13.4% One might suggest whatever they're up to, they're not getting away with it... http://www.theguardian.com/society/2013/nov/14/muslim-prisoners-double-england-wales-ministry-justice
  23. They probably are licensed, they take on newly arrived Roma, give 'em a days work, collect about ten bob worth of scrap - cut them a cheque for £X for the day - the exact amount needed to gain a National Insurance number, then tell them ''not enough work tomorrow, sorry! ;) '' and so it's straight down to the benefits agency... That's why you see the same vans in same streets day after day - it's a front. Didn't you watch 'Gypsies on Benefits and Proud'?
  24. When I was a very young kid, and, though we'd been taught better, me and mates would hide in the bushes and throw berries at passing Nissan Sunnys and Datsun Cherries. It was our form of protest at the proliferation of Japanese-made car destroying the British automobile industry.
