Holdsworth will be telling KA to stick with Jimmy & Reidy and then hire Brown once he gets sacked at Southend.

I'm not fussed about Brown tbh and he isn't worth the reported 500K compo either. The way Southend's results have been going, Brown could well be potted after half a dozen games or so next season. Cotterill would be a far cheaper option and he got Bristol City promoted back to the Championship with ease. He's available too, so no compo. Sheridan would also be a decent shout, he's got a great record at taking over clubs in the shit and getting results, not sure about the compo with Oldham though?

So Wilder doesn't want to come. Anderson wants Sheridan but Holdsworth not sure.Holdsworth wants Brown but Anderson not sure. We're still under a transfer embargo, never a dull day supporting the Trotters.

I'd imagine the compo for Sheridan will be significantly lower than for Brown. Southend apparently would want 500k ish, so no chance with that one. I've read that Sheridan is maybe on around 60k a year at Oldham and he's got 2 years left on his contract.

We need a manager who knows the lower league's and will make us hard to beat. Sheridan ticks those boxes for me.

Don't have a problem with Sheridan tbh, we are where we are. Sheridan must have something about him, to resuscitate Oldham from a nailed on relegation.

I'd imagine the compo would be far cheaper for Sheridan than Brown. Southend fans are convinced that Brown is off to us, but I'm not convinced, think Brown is gagging for the job tbh. Sheridan is certainly the dark horse and he's done wonders at Oldham, who were nailed on for relegation before he took the job.

TBH, I actually feel a bit more confident today even though we lost. Maybe if we can keep hold of our youngsters like Holding, Clough, Maher, Threlkeld & Vela for next season, then we can start to rebuild. It'll be interesting to see if all of the above mentioned play together in our final games and see if our performances pick up.
