  1. It's good to be able to access this site again after a few weeks of having to go via the 'Advanced' and 'Unsafe' route. My mate has had the same problem and there's been a significantly reduced number of posts - so it wasn't a problem at my/my mate's end. I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it, anyway, it's good to be back!

  4. Had to laugh at this Wiggins: Beware the Ides of March... I'd take League Two/National League football under safe and secure local investors over the endless financial catastrophes of the last three years. Nobody knows if there's truth to any of this yet but, unfortunately, if a club that's recently been football's equivalent of an active volcano starts billowing smoke again the people of Pompeii are rightly gonna assume there's more pyroclastic flow heading their way.

We could do with improving our goal difference 😁
  6. I reckon we've sold around 30k now, or 'just under' at least. Lower tier: 14K Middle tier: 7k Upper tier: 17.7k minus 50% still available = 8.8k Total: 30k(ish)
  7. JCL, 😂😂😂😂. Im on my 53rd consecutive season ticket..... 54th ordered.
  8. Fair assumption on OUR forum 😊
  9. What does that even mean 🥴
  10. Why haven't they switched the floodlights on? Tramps!

Who's Bob? And is he even a member of Wanderersways?
  12. Its good to have a sensible discussion without it deteriorating into anger and name calling. After all none of us can prove who is, or might be, the best manager for us. So, here's what I base my OPINION on (that there is nobody better than I.E. for our manager): 1) He has improved us every season he has been in charge 2) The way he likes us to play is entertaining and exciting (that doesn't mean it is always so.... Just like it isn't for the most entertaining team on the planet, whoever that is) 3) It's not essential that we get promoted this season, or even next, but it would be a problem if we were still in div. 1 in say 3 years time. I think we have an excellent chance of getting promoted this season but, if we don't, it's virtually guaranteed next season. 4) If I.E. was replaced at the end of this season the new manager would want his own staff and players, that change process and the inevitable turmoil would virtually guarantee we wouldn't get promoted next season. 5) I have a strong feeling that I.E. would be happy to remain at B.W.F.C. until he retires - assuming Sharon stays too and continues to support him and his ambitions .... Within the limitations of Sustainability. 6) I believe that I.E. has the traits to take us all the way (as far as a club of our size can go..... We've previously reached Europe), he reminds me greatly of Big Sam.... Who didn't do a bad job! Yes, S.A. had lots of (Eddie's) money but I think it's possible to do it more sustainably, especially with the ever increasing pressure on clubs to spend within their means. Notice that I haven't attempted to discredit any of the suggested alternative managers - there's no point, as already stated none of us can prove anything. BUT, I'd be amazed if there's another manager, anywhere, who could tick all the above boxes .... Plus probably a few more that I've overlooked.
  13. But there is no one better 🙅
  14. So, if we don't get promoted, who will you judge to be better to take over next season?
  15. As can be clearly seen in the photo, Trafford gets to the ball - which was obviously his target, whereas Coyle wasn't fast enough, or high enough, to reach it; in fact Coyle's nowhere near it (relatively speaking). It was a 50/50 ball and one player came off worse but that doesn't mean the player with the lesser injury was to blame - it's just luck; however, Accrington's general overall style of play is aggressive - overly so - just look at the shirt pulling and horrendous tackles on Bradley in the first 20 mins (leading to the sending off)! Also, I can't help but wonder: 1) What's Coyle's arm doing so high? It was in fact way above his head just prior to the 'coming together' and the photo - Why? 2) Was he hoping to direct the ball towards goal by 'any' part of his body? 3) Or maybe he was hoping his arm/hand would collide with Trafford?

  18. Looks like a 50/50 challenge to me, except their player has his arm/hand in the air - why!
