  1. 'Untouchable' was on BBC4. Great film.

Try reading the thread rather than the thread title.
  3. Palace is the other.
  4. Hull, yes. Notts County, no. There's one other as far as i know.
  5. Bonus points for naming the other clubs who built a supermarket at one end of their grounds in the 80's.

There's plenty of money to go round in this country, whether it's being spent in the right areas is the question. Money to bail out the banks didn't seem to be a problem but apparently the NHS can wait.
  7. Bournemouth are going to have to do some serious work on that stadium if they go up. A capacity of 12,000 in the Premier League is a bit of a joke. It's less than Blackpool.
  8. Not as bad as Bournemouth's, it's a shocker.
  9. Hope Ipswich defend like they did today when we play them.
  10. Lennon's reaction: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31775986
  11. Our home record is magnificent since Lennon took over. One defeat in the league to Watford and even that was a game we should have taken a point from. I think only Boro have a better home record during that period.
  12. Wigan have won three of their last four games though. I think Rotherham will be relying on other team's beating them to stay up.
  13. Three of Wigan's next four games are against Watford, Boro and Derby.
  14. It won't because that's not the offer, not unless you know a season ticket holder anyway. Season ticket holders don't really benefit from this offer and nor do casual supporters who don't happen to know any season ticket holders. If they're going to use season ticket holders as a surrogate sales team, they really should make it worth their while. Why not give them a credit against a future game for every non-season ticket holder they bring with them?
  15. I'm on their mailing list and got an email about the Millwall game today. Maybe they don't want to pester people but if they're going to have a promotional offer, wouldn't it be better to push the offer earlier in the week?
  16. ...or they could just make it a fiver for everyone and email everyone on their database, since they'll all be eligible for the offer. Charlton did just that last week and over 25,500 turned up.
  17. I thought the whole point of FFP was to stop owners chucking money at wages and transfer fees and then pulling the plug, leaving the club up shit creek. They are allowed to generate income by improving the infrastructure of the club which is why some clubs are now expanding their stadiums and some are building new ones.
  18. Not sure that they're allowed to do that anymore under FFP.
  19. I've missed the last 30 years. Haven't heard either since i was at school.
  20. Not a patch on James H Reeve.
  21. Everton's supporters have literally booed their team back into this game. Proof that sometimes players do respond to a verbal kick up the arse.
  22. Fantastic assist by Lukaku.
  23. ...apart from the players he signed who weren't freebies.
  24. That's just your interpretation of it. It had more to do with the previous manager than the players in my opinion.
  25. So no one game is more important than another.
