  1. Thanks for these figures. I had no idea. I guess the only response we've got left is to keep killing and starving innocent people. Such is war.
  2. Explaining what realities? You keep making absurd statements like this is 'Israel vs Hamas' and asking everyone to agree. With no regard for any wider context or the situation that has been playing out in the rest of Palestine. This isn't just one extremist nutter who the BBC plucked out of thin air. These settlements and land grabbing policies are coming from the top down. There are people just like her sitting at the top of Israeli government.
  3. Of course it is ๐Ÿ˜‚ Why else bring it up. Israel should just nuke the strip and be done with it. The Yanks once dropped an atomic bomb on Japan in a war. So it's okay to do it again if it's been done before. People die in wars, just what happens innit.
  4. I see the โ€œshit happens, such is warโ€ brigade are back out. Itโ€™s mad the excuses people make.
  5. Happy Sunday indeed ๐Ÿ˜‚ Hope you enjoyed your Kebab. The Daily Rag are all over this https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-13235499/under-50s-cancer-cases-surge-kate-middleton-diagnosis-study.html Though they do later admit that itโ€™s likely something to do with better detection & screening rates.
  6. I guess the point would be there's a large chunk of Israelis (and government ministers) who don't think Palestinians have a right to exist on their land. Almost reminds you of another extremist viewpoint. Can't think which one off the top of my head....
  7. Wait a minute... I thought this was just Israel vs Hamas? "The world is wide," she says. "Africa is big. Canada is big. The world will absorb the people of Gaza. These are the people who the Israeli government actively support. Vile people. It answers the question why neighbouring countries won't allow Israel victory by letting Palestinians move into their country.
  8. Interesting reading that ๐Ÿ‘ Hamas really are vile. Good ideas for solutions at the end.
  9. Cheers pal That makes more sense. I would expecct us to get more accurate research on microplastics over the next decade or so. But a lot of it is currently unknown. Microplastics are in our bodies. Here's why we don't know the health risks (sciencenews.org) Even then, I guess they would just end up in a similar bracket as unhealthy lifestyles in terms of causes & maybe certain chemicals would be banned during production. I'd imagine antibiotic resistance is the biggest current concern?
  10. Was thinking about this. Was reading that thereโ€™s been a 80% increase in rates of cancer in under 50s. Is that because weโ€™ve bigger populations now or is there something more sinister going on. Or a mixture of both? Maybe @kent_white is the one to ask. Donโ€™t want to get all tin foil hat on this, but with the amount microplastics now being found in our water, food, building & clothing sources. And with them being full of carcinogens. You canโ€™t help but wonder about the long term impacts. The research is young in this, but doesnโ€™t look promising.
  11. "At least 220 people have died in Israeli attacks across the occupied territories, including 48 children. Of the total death toll, 167 were from the West Bank and East Jerusalem and 53 were from the Gaza Strip." This is 2022, a year before Hams reared it's ugly head across the border. Israel's defence secretary resigned, claiming his governments extreme policies were fuelling the fire. Behind those figures you have thousands of displaced innocent families and bulldozed homes. Settlers begin by moving in close by, sometimes in tents before they build their own homes. They divert water suppplies, destroy crops and attack people. They cite ancient religious scripture to justify it all. Eventually the Palestinians are forced away from their land. It is illegal. It's a war crime. And it has been happenning constantly. The current Israeli government actively encourage it. We would all love Hamas to surrender in Gaza. Israel also has the power to create a ceasefire. But that doesn't solve the problem of what Israel are doing in Palestine.
  12. If Hamas surrender will Israel stop taking land from Palestinians ?
  13. More news from the front. https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/israel-approves-new-parcel-west-bank-land-settlement-2024-03-22/
  14. Crikey. You honestly believe this conflict is that simple? What about Israelโ€™s latest land grab in the West Bank. The biggest in decades. Was that also in defence against Hamas? Thereโ€™s no reasoning with that kind of tunnel vision.
  15. Spot on ๐Ÿ‘ Her video was incredibly brave and delivered perfectly. Massive respect to her. I hope that the staff who tried to access her records are hounded as much as the royals are. Name and shame and give them a taste of their own medicine. This could easily have been released without consent in the gutter press and I'm only glad that Kate could do it in her own way.
  16. You're both right to question these sources ๐Ÿ‘ Which is why I've added other viewpoints. None of it is concrete of course. It's just odd that you question it when it's 'Palestinian officials', but not when it's the other way around. Video appears to show Hamas stealing trucks of humanitarian aid that have entered the Gaza Strip from Egypt. Masked and armed men sit on top of the supplies as the trucks are driven deeper into the Strip. Hebrew-language media reports the men are from Hamas. Israel has said that members of Hamas have been seizing aid, though U.S. and UNRWA officials have said there is no evidence for the claim From a New York Times & Israel Times article. Do you see a pattern here? Both sides make claims - both sides have their own propaganda and shit to hide - both sides are responsible. Which is why it boggles me that some folk on this thread continue to pick a side on this conflict. Mostly the Israeli side.
  17. If Hamas are releasing statements warning against people supporting Israeli aid convoys, then clearly some have been doing so. Which shows, in my antisemitic/terrorist sympathiser opinion, that the video is not reliable evidence of Hamas being on those trucks. Not pretending for a second that Hamas are giving the aid to all that need it. But let's not also pretend that Israel have been fulfilling their role to provide to those who need it. It's obvious they could do much more but are choosing not to. A Palestinian offical source is just as dubious as an Israeli government/military source. Surely the latest land grab in West Bank is evidence of that? Could civil war break out in Gaza? Major clan inside strip 'declares Hamas members are legitimate targets' after its leader 'was assassinated by the terror group' for allegedly stealing humanitarian aid | Daily Mail Online
  18. So Fatah (Hamas' secular political rival) are now Hamas.... Okay then.... getting a bit confusing all this. Armed Palestinians look to be supporting these aid convoys. Why else would Hamas be warning against it? Palestinians who work with Israel on Gaza aid are collaborators, says Hamas (telegraph.co.uk) People will make their own minds up ๐Ÿ˜‰
  19. Not at all ๐Ÿ‘ You've got that one a bit wrong though - as it relies on evidence from other Palestinian officials as well as Hamas. A Twitter video (with a highly biased post) of people with guns on top of an aid convoy is not reliable evidence that Hamas are occupying that truck. As shown. My views on this are pretty clear. Hamas and Israel bear equal responsibility. That viewpoint doesn't come from Hamas. There are many on the groud aid agencies, international organisations and allies of Israel that are critical of Israel's approach.
  20. They are taking a significant amount of materials.. And with everything that's happened, I'm sure there are plenty of angry grief strickin Palestinians that support them. It's why it's such a mess. But it's on the occupying state to ensure that aid reaches the civilians. Israel just aren't offering the protection these convoys needed. In the past week they've killed the officers tasked with aid delivery in a home strike. Obviously their whole family has been massacred as well. The fact that Israel aren't doing enough to secure safe passage is echoed by all the aid agencies out there. The UN as well. And the US. There is really no denying it. Let's hope the American port does it's job. But as you say, serious medical support is needed for these people now.
  21. Christ this guys Twitter is something else - how do you find these people mate? You had a scroll down? There's some proper mental anti-vax conspiracy stuff on there. Anway - a more balanced view on it all. Turns out it's not actually Hamas on top of these convoys. Who'd have thought Dr. Eli. David would be telling porkies ey . Palestinian clans and factions step in to protect Gaza aid, sources say | Reuters
