  1. Agree. But, they've got to make a living I suppose. Might dissuade one or two others from the 5-0 bet on here next season anyway 🙃
  2. For those who don't know, their Not The Top 20 podcast is well worth a listen in future. Even if they didn't quite fancy us against Bradford... they're probably the biggest impartial voice on non-Prem football.
  3. I love being wrong.
  4. No words. That was a magnificent day. In the words of Schumacher: "Up the fuckhen Trottehs!"
  5. Don't disagree. I've gone for back row in the lower tier corner because I'm: A.) excited like fuck for this entire day and can't be trusted to be civil (but not 'crazy corner' hardcore) B.) a big old softy who doesn't want to get in the way I'm so looking forward to this.
  6. Just back. Quite simply, that was fucking class from start to finish.
  7. 5pm has never felt further away. God I hope the M62 is playing ball tonight.
  8. Your cynicism makes you sound like you're a 48% woke loser lefty snowflake. God, I am so tired of winning all the time 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
  9. And there's me thinking that 'pensions are not a benefit' would be the most ridiculous thing I'd read today. Never had anything given to you? Your generation were able to buy property on 3x an average salary. Today it's nearer 9x. You had the state building houses left right and centre, while today, the only properties being built are skyscrapers for Russian and Saudi nationals to "invest in" and never visit. Your generation were able to buy their council houses for a song, and sell them at ballooned profit. Your generation enjoyed free higher education, while today the average student debt is around £50k. You might say, "I didn't need a degree, I went to the University of Life". Yep, because with unionised workforces actually manufacturing things in this country before Thatcher's axe, your generation enjoyed good jobs, for life, just by scraping a couple of O Levels. Today, any job paying above pot washing or glass collecting (and having done both, I am not knocking either) expects further qualifications to even get past the first sift. I wouldn't dispute that you have worked hard for what you have, but your suggestion that those younger than you have a "sheltered life" is plain fucking ignorant. The ability to check your own privilege is seemingly a concept beyond so many of your age group. With such a closed world view, I'm really not surprised you and so many myopic others within your privileged, selfish generation are falling for Farage's lies. Have a lovely day, and enjoy the match later.
  10. It was hard work trying to keep neutral, although I think I endeared myself to the locals by openly laughing at Sheehan's banana shots rather than the groan I wanted to let out. Not his best game for us. There is not a chance I'll be doing it if it's a crucial play-off semi at Valley Parade though, some of those home supporters looked a *lot* harder than me 😆 Cracking view of the game to be fair:
  11. I was in the home end, corner to the far left as away fans look. Fantastic goal celebrations, wish I was part of it properly. Loud all game, top effort. Cissoko unplayable, where has that come from? Sloppy goal to concede, but Bradford said the same about ours... where were their defence?! City centre afterwards was pretty smart, I thought. Even if the road up to the ground looked like an Istanbul derby pre-match! Few post-game beers with a Bradford pal, they really don't want to play us again. We have nothing to worry about if we play them in the semis. Apart from the dogshit trains...
  12. I noticed that too. If nothing else it does demonstrate camaraderie throughout the group. But my God, he's simply not good enough.
  13. Especially when it's *very* unlikely we'll line up in the playoff games with the same starting 11 as we did tonight (what central midfield?!?) High risk, high reward. That was a delicious watch start to finish. We didnt give Stevenage chance to dig in, like so many do, with some clinical early finishing. The highlights are a treat. Not getting carried away, but that was a proper response to the disappointment of Saturday. -- Just to add, Stevenage conceded more tonight than they had in their previous 9 games *combined* (including games v Stockport, Bradford, Plymouth, Reading)! Rattling a side who've proven themselves to be extremely tight at the back must do wonders for our confidence.
  14. Hard watch, that. All set up for a late 0-1 mugging... 🙂
  15. I want a hot date with Margot Robbie. Sadly I reckon, like Wanderers, I've missed the boat on that one. 🙃
