Yes - lovely person. First remember her as a kid from the early 80s on supporters coaches (when I used to travel with my mum !) . Always had a friendly word whenever saw her outside the ground pre-match. Part of a group who were the lifeblood of the club at the time.

11k so far is decent - creeping to last years figure. Just renewed myself, but after 50 years being STHs two in our group (mum and aunty) have decided to call it quits and not to get one this time around. Old age eh! Another reminder if it were needed that we only live life once. OINO COYWM.

Don’t get what’s in this for the club (aside perhaps for a bit of PR with ST holders). Unless we were selling out each week (which we never will) the club loses money on any match-by-match sales to punters buying these seats compared to non-ST seats (by having to credit the fiver/tenner to the STH). Most unlike Neil this one 😵💫

Half of SSL now open for home fans…..confirms no more for them!
-
Wow. Not many left at all. Should be 25k I reckon. Superb - coywm - don’t let us down today. Adding the 800 Reading haven’t sold should give a good indication today of the actual number of mysterious seats we never seem to release/sell. About 2k?

This. Pretty amazing support today when you think about it, even with the reduced prices. Evatt should be shouting about how this can/will help the team, not be fearful/protective that it won’t. Symptomatic of an overall shift in the last couple of months from us being assertively on the front foot to being timidly on the back. All I can think it’s the pressure of the injuries which has played on his mind given the club/fan expectations. Prob too late now for automatics, but in his actions and words he needs to make sure we come out fighting….in every game that’s left, so we can rebuild momentum.
-
Isn’t it both - season ticket holders not turning up …..plus unreleased seats the club rarely sells (eg around stairwells). Seat map looks like only ~200 left in east/north/west stands, but reality of course will be many more.

Port Vale or Shrewsbury?
-
Of course 🙄. Even so, over 12k in the Lever End - wow - hard to imagine.
-
42k in 1978?!…….year before of course we squeezed 50k in for the Everton LC semifinal. Christ knows where the other 8k went!
-
SSL now open for this one. Might as well close the “Bolton are massive thread” right now. This just proves it. Massive.
-
Fully agree……human nature being what it is though I just think that there is a stronger possibility of this if we’re still in with a shout of the automatics for as long as possible.

20k sold and 2 weeks to go. SSL probably on the cards for home fans? Just hope the match still means something by then ie we beat Stevenage and Derby lose one somewhere. https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/reading-h-over-20000-sold-community-day

I’m happy to be a happy clapper and despite being completely gutted at full time can now look back and say today was a belting day out. Might be the wine taking effect of course. Thought on the whole we played pretty well and for once turned up for a big game. Could have and should have won. Thought a turning point was when Gayle went off injured and they rejigged with an extra midfielder. Also a different story if Bod’s header goes in. Not read all the posts…..but don’t think we’ve done justice to our support today. Top drawer. Outstanding. All game. Put them to shame. A taste of what championship footy would feel like each week in “proper” grounds. Hey-ho, off to Stevenage we go. We can still do this!

Looks like sold out? No tickets appearing on website 👏. Some big games before that though.

Embarrassed reading some of that. Nothing we don’t already know but some of our fans are really brain dead. We’ve got a lad in goal, a Bolton fan, doing his best and he’s getting dogs abuse, probably for doing the things he’s been told to do. We’ve got no other alternative atm so what positive impact do these muppets think their ranting will have? I despair (again).
-
Can’t help but think part of the problem atm is the lack of a settled side, not because of injuries or systems, but because of IE deliberately rotating some players/positions. Bingo machine in full use. Frequent references to “the data are telling us” and yes, in several positions we now have multiple options (which I think he feels compelled to use as he brought them all in), but this is doing us no favours whatsoever in cohesiveness, both attack and defence. Haven’t look at exact details of when we’ve had the good runs pre-Xmas, esp the clean sheets) but gut feel is we had a far more settled side week in week out. IE needs to decide who are the best 11 for the formation he will always play, and injuries aside, stick with it. They should be able to play twice a week. Fed up with chop and change - a big part of the problem imho.

Everton don’t half play a lot of hoof ball these days 🥱. Gimme our silky 3-1-4-2 any day.
-
Why choose us v Oxford midweek? Who’ll want to watch that? Bonkers. Will further dilute our midweek home attendance & atmosphere. Got to feel for hardcore Oxford fans as well.
-
No Santos and no Sheehan means we’re (even more of) a liability playing out from the back.
-
Missing Sheehan big time.
-
Ticket just arrived in post. Phew.
-
…and Forrester. Will be interesting as/when all these folk are back - several first teamers won’t even be on the bench each game. Nice problem to have.

Ashworth (& possibly Bod) must be the mystery injury?
