Fans aren't hanging around, are they ?
-
I did say I mostly see the home games mate. I missed the Carlisle home game but from all accounts, they didn't batter us 🤷♂️
-
😁, ok, since then 😄
-
Shouldn't really need saying 👍

@gonzo, couple of good posts above, not sure where this best squad in the league thing comes from either, we do have good strength in depth and sometimes it seems we have better on the bench. Can I turn a couple of things around though ? How many teams have we battered ? Appreciate I only mostly see the home games (did Burton which was dreadful), but I can't remember the last time I sat through injury time without a feeling of low level dread 😄. I'm watching us struggle mightily against teams we're meant to be better than. Teams coming at us hell for leather. Why don't we do that ? Get on the front foot a bit quicker, when we do, any team struggles to cope with us. Again, appreciate its easier to destroy than create, but we don't half play into other teams hands by playing it so slow. All that said, we've had really shit luck with injuries (unbelievable tbh), and if we're still in touch when we get our main players back, we're plenty good enough to knock out the wins needed. And Evatt et al have worked wonders to get us where we are from when he started. Really hope he can finish the job 🙏 COYWM

Was thing more Evatt re the refs mate, although we do tend to make it easy for them at times. Was a certainty Evo was going to talk himself into a red.
-
Need to win our 8 home games. No more slip ups. Refs are shite most weeks but we just need to deal with it.
-
Will take this after what's gone before, but if we can win this....
-
Come on !!
-
Correct.
-
It was. Other than the crazy 10 minutes or so, I thought we were the better team but that could've been the game gone. Said earlier but I think we'll beat them at theirs
-
Think a lot of the crowds anxiety (well, mine anyway 😄), comes from not wanting to see us fuck up the great position we're in. If we weren't good enough, fine, but we clearly are. Yesterday was us bringing pressure on ourselves. Not for one minute suggesting we should abandon our way of playing, just individual bits of play sometimes need a bit of pragmatism. Eg, if Baxter lumps it down the field, sure, Barnsley probably get the ball, 70 yards from our goal rather than 20 leading to one on one's where we're lucky not to concede. We'll be reet, once the team gets settled again, expect us to pick up the points we need.
-
Exactly this. Tbh, unless this ridiculous bad luck with injuries continues, I think we're good enough to get something every game. Definitely should be expecting to win the next 4
-
Good point that, all told. Baxter made 3 superb saves to keep us in it. Thought Ashworth was pretty good. Got stuck in and might have a bit of the shithouse about him (lucky not to concede a pen in the second half, he had a little kick off the ball at the lad he'd been battling all game ). Don't get the stick Maghoma is getting. Has a go at taking people on, just needs that final bit of composure, that's all. We'll beat this lot at their place.
-
Much the better team, just need a break. Can't concede again though.
-
£249 for NSL,bargain that.
-
Think it'll take 96 to get automatic. Bloody nuisance that 3 other teams keep winning. 13 more wins.
-
Definitely. Especially if the injury situation is worst case. Would take a draw tbh, but a win over them would be huge.
-
Yeah, I'd rather nobody leaves right now. Lot of games to play and we'll need all the numbers we can get. Plus, the lads we've got are working ok 🙂. Might be a risk changing too much.
-
Superb result this. Was worried we might struggle after Tuesday with fatigue/players missing. But that's fantastic. Barnsley and Peterborough dropping points too 😀. Massive game next week. COYWM

Rover at ours says he needs to lose some weight. Says he's pretty slow from what little he's seen 🤷♂️
-
Agreed. It'd typical that we pick up an injury in the one position we really can't afford to 🙄

On the subject of people overreacting to performances like today, it just comes from frustration. We know we aren't going to win every game, it just seems at the moment we need to just to keep pace. On more than one occasion this season, I've announced to the folk surrounding me that I'd sell Santos after one of his fuck ups. Ridiculous I know, he's one of our best. We all say daft stuff in the moment, it's part of being a fan. Long way to go, COYWM.
