My old firm had a client who was selling a property for roughly a quarter of the price of this place. A partner who was involved in the deal said he’d take the place if the client couldn’t find a buyer and he was told the same - he couldn’t afford the upkeep even if he gave the property to him for free.

Most likely buy the property holding company and not the property so offshore and therefore no stamp duty. Ways and means if you all want to chip in.

And there’s the loophole which, alongside many others, usually to the benefit of the Uber-rich, denies the country of income.
