Moderators Popular Post Zico Posted October 5, 2023 Moderators Popular Post Posted October 5, 2023 hello the fundraiser has now closed thanks to everyone who donated we raised £645 from 49 donations paypal took varying amounts of commision each £5 donation, we got £4.55 each £10 donation, we got £9.41 a £20 was £19.12 someone donated £50, we got £48.25 we've now got the ongoing hosting and licence management sorted, and took control of the domain name, the expense paid out for this were: £180 per year for the hosting, so covered for next 12 months approx £100 ($120) every six months for the licence fee for the forum software, so £200 per year £20 for wanderersways.com domain ownership transfer fee so £300 paid out in total which leaves £351.20 in the pot (including the £38 that was already in there) the site costs £380 a year to run so this time next year, we'll need to raise about £130 to cover the following 12 months and then £380 a year after that well played everyone Quote

Moderators Popular Post Zico Posted May 6, 2024 Author Moderators Popular Post Posted May 6, 2024 I was just having a poke around in the member settings it was set up so that standard members couldn't view who has liked their comments, and were limited to 2 likes per day, whilst suporter could see and were unlimited anyway I've just made it so everyone can see, and can like as much as they want, you may need to log out and then back in again to see this if you want to make a donation to site running costs after this apparent act of benevloance on my part, go for it if you don't, no bother Quote
Moderators Zico Posted May 6, 2024 Author Moderators Posted May 6, 2024 also just to add the main reason why I did this Happy set up unlimited likes and being able to view likes, as a supporter benefit, where he added anyone who had donated to the "site supporters" user group since taking over the running of the site I've received loads of donations to help pay for everything but the thing is, I don't know who most of them were from as they were done via paypal and I just saw they were from random names and random emails and didn't know which actual user they were and therefore of these I had no idea who was and wasn't alreay a supporter and to be quite honest that's an admin task I cannot be arsed with so chances are you had donated but had never been upgraded so fuck it you can all have the "privlege" Quote

Rival Son Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 I’m relatively new to this site, so just getting to know what’s what, and who’s who. Well done @Zico and all involved. I’ll definitely chuck a few quid in, next time funds need a top-up. Quote
Moderators Zico Posted September 18, 2024 Author Moderators Posted September 18, 2024 hello we had £261.55 left in the pot after the last forum licence payment in April just paid invoice (below) for the next 12 months hosting which came in at £182.52 which leaves us with £79.03 the next forum licence payment is due on 01/10 for £90ish - so I'll chuck in the difference so then we're covered on all costs until next April, then will have to do some more donations Quote
