Only the most wealthy fans in the world will be at this world cup supporting their team. Doesnt scream fun to me.ย  If England get to the final, i'd genuinely rather be in england than at the game

  • If it wasn't for my lads I wouldn't want us anywhere near the premier league.

As always itโ€™s a mix and balance.

Good and tripe in both.

That lack of jeopardy in the group games created some real open games and football. Think I heard the average was over 3 goals per game.

Knockout games, between similar sides, like this, where no one is over gambling and are anxious about not making a mistake are not very entertaining.

Operating at a rate of every other knockout game being good so far. Assuming the Netherlands game will be great while we're all asleep!

Oh hey up, wasnt expecting a Paraguay goal

Theyve not impressed me at all last few games. Just come back from a mainly German resort in Majorca and they all looked pretty miserable all week!

How would you tell?

They will be properly miserable now after being robbed.

D Believe it or not, I have some Jap relatives from my brother in law who teaches English in Kawasaki city. Magical bunch - they've stayed with us in Perth and are a laugh a minute. A good proportion of my 6 grandsons are into Anime and Manga (I have half a suitcase full of (dodgy) Japan football shirts which featured these things) and my son likes his 'rice burner' supercars (particularly the twin turbo Toyota Supra he had which was a ground based missile).

With all of this in mind, in losing dosh on Brazil I would have taken solace in the fact that the family in Kawasaki City would have been partying hard all night if they'd won. Will miss watching the way they play but not the noise generated by their supporters. Was surprised to hear last night that Brazil had the largest Japanese population in the world outside of Japan. I knew there were enormous football ties which grew from the inception of the Toyota World Club Cup games which were always in Tokyo but was unaware of the migrants.

A few weeks at Bromwich Street will always mean that I have a soft spot for Brazilian football.

A lot less nudism than last time I visited.

Wonder if it will lead to another root and branch review of their whole system or whether theyll just blame it on VAR and the manager.

I think you are right with the latter mate.
