Well, Austria and Algeria played out a thriller despite the claims that this format could have seen a damp squib.

Very much in the balance whether this format has been a success and created more or less excitement.

Think I’m just on the side of it being a success.

aye, best game of the tournament so far, Algeria didn't hold back though commentators here suggesting Austria saved their skin with the equaliser though I'm sure they were guaranteed to get through

but yes, it's been long winded but does seem to be a global tournament and pleased the likes of Capo Verde, whilst seems fair that teams that get 4 points should get another game

turns out they did save their skin, had they not scored, iran would've gone through instead, apparently

and iran not happy with the treatment they received moving from mexico to us for games

As always it’s a mix and balance.

Good and tripe in both.

That lack of jeopardy in the group games created some real open games and football. Think I heard the average was over 3 goals per game.

Knockout games, between similar sides, like this, where no one is over gambling and are anxious about not making a mistake are not very entertaining.

Knockout games need an early goal.

RSA today deserved to lose just because of the keeper wasting time.

Really haven't seen enough of this one. Must have been mainly overnight games.
