November 20, 2025Nov 20 Someone did the maths a few years ago . To fill a book from random sticker packet purchases Would cost between £700-800 . Or you can wait til they have been out a little bit and buy an empty book and full set of stickers on ebay for about £300 . When they had been out of circulation for a while you used to be able to buy a ful set from the Panini website for about £150 . Going rate for any modern near mint full album is about £70 , with a few exceptions. Gone are the days of a packet of 6 being 5 p . Edited November 20, 2025Nov 20 by Krimzon
November 21, 2025Nov 21 Great to see the EFL getting greater coverage. I recall a chap from Panini many moons ago, insisting they make exactly the same number of each sticker and yet anyones experience of collecting these will know that was bollocks.

So say 11-20 per team Or a select of 5 players per team? Do they do two players per sticker for the shitter players / teams like they used to do with, for example south Korea or Iraq in Mexico 86?

Absolute bollocks from Mr Panini. We all remember having multiples of the same player that everyone else also had. I always dreamt of buying an entire box of packets and was convinced that that would complete the book but I was just a poor Breightmet kid and even my birthday money wouldn't have covered it. As an adult I suspect there were some that were never actually in circulation, couldn't you buy some directly from Panini to complete the collection?

I had 5 left to get in 1978 but never got round to sending off for them. I do have a completed Championship one from our 100 goals season. I had to send off for the last 2 dozen of them.
November 21, 2025Nov 21 I remember having one in 96/97 but can’t remember if it was the full teams. Hell of a lot more challenging to fill than a Premier League one!
November 21, 2025Nov 21 Remember there being a Mexico 86 one in our house The only one I've ever known to be completed was my brother with Return Of The Jedi
November 21, 2025Nov 21 I needed Erland Johnson to fill my book when I was about 11. Never got it. Told my mate in the boozer years later and he managed to source one and gave it me on the day I was best man at his wedding.

November 21, 2025Nov 21 Always thought that if I was artistic I could draw a Private Eye cartoon called "ISIS reveal new Panini sticker album". Little lads holding pictures of severed heads saying "got", "not got" etc. I suppose I could ask AI to do it now.

Steve Lynex of Leicester 1986 was my nemesis . I remember being that pissed off getting him that I ended up putting him in upside down over the top of his original sticker.
Gonna cost those folks with kids/grandkids a few quid these.
