  • Exactly this. Honestly never seen a manager lose his fucking mind on the biggest of stages like that tonight. It's one thing letting the game pass you by and not reacting. But it's completely differen

Honestly, a lot of times when we go out in the latter stages, we've played well and just not had the bounce or whatever. But this was just craven and unnecessary. Semi final of the World Cup, go out

  • Get Tuchel sacked immediately. That's worse than any of Southgate's defensive horror shows. Completely gave the game away at 1 nil up, by stopping playing for 35 minutes.

Hopefully he drops Rice. Been a passanger for 2 tournaments on a trot.

Yet to see evidence Madueke is a footballer.

only the occasion will beat us

these aren't a good side

They hate us and will use that as motivation. I'm going all Keegan...I would love it etc etc.

Both teams who haven’t been at their best & have battled through. Both will need to step it up to win.

If not for our shaky defence I’d be more confident

A few things spring to mind.

They are the reigning world champions.

Their belief is extraordinary.

They seem to be getting help from FIFA.

Foolish to write them off and if we beat them four goals I will don a fringed leather jacket and shout 'Rockers Rule' from Wyalkatchem town hall steps. The ultimate shame.

I just want us to beat them. 97th minute undeserved penalty with which Harry hits both posts before hitting Emiliano Martinez's arse and crossing the line by 0.2mm would make it doubly sweet.

The Falklands are British.

Bookies have us as favourites!

I think we can win this by a few, I 've had my doubts the last 2 games, but we've gone the distance in both and neither of Mexico or Norway created a goal that cut us open, the Mexico 1st was a poor clearance from a freekick from Konsa which fell kindly to Quinones and the other a pen, Norway's goal was a complete fluke, Argentina have found it tough in all knockout matches, but Messi and a few more have found moments, Switzerland had them were they wanted 'em before Embolo cheated and got sent off and with England's attack and our star Bellingham in ultimate form I think we'll have too much.

I know these games are on the day who plays better where the past can be irrelevant, and I'm sure they'll fancy themselves also and will look at Norway being better 2nd half for large periods and how Congo caused us issues, but Argentina despite there never give in and amazing desire have looked so beatable these last few games that I'm just picturing our attack cutting them open.

It feels like it'll be a real step up to me

I know they've not been great but they'll find something extra against us because it's us and I just hope we're wise to the shennagins they'll inevitably get up to

We can win it though for sure

I really feel our best bet is to throw caution to the wind and run at the fuckers

I wish it was Wednesday already

British bookies no doubt will

Argie bookies might think differently

Lineker might disagree.

A fucking certainty. Can send him to the same leper colony as Southgate for me.

Don't really get the outrage about this, he did call it the Falklands first.

What's in a name?

I think this is where Tommy T earns his coin. His winning mentality clearly is rubbing off as we have gone the furthest we’ve ever done outside Europe.

We will manage the occasion while the argies will romance about their beloved Malvinas.

A comfortable ish 3-1 for us

I have admired lineker as a player and a bloke in fairness as I like most people who are pleasant but it was a bit bedwetter for me.

Of course, to us, it might not seem a big deal, but to veterans it is very disrespectful.

Many are angry about it.

It also comes on the back of some of his other comments that rub folk up.

I’m up in Scotchland on Wednesday and Thursday. Could be fun watching the game. Or not 😀

Yes

But Trump and Netanyahu have now publicaly backed Javier Milei's fresh claims over the islands.

"Fray Bentos and cheap red wine is all they have in the Argentine, but after a scrap with English Navy they'll ask for the recipe for chips and gravy"... it'll always be war in my book.

Bring it on, do it for Reidy

Don’t forget to wear your Argentina shirt with the rest of the sad Scottish bastards.

Is it on BBC Scotland?

Greater Manchester Wanderers maybe.

So good that O’Reilly, Guehi, Rice and especially Bellingham are available for Wednesday.

Hopefully Rice will benefit from a full recovery from his bug and only playing half yesterday.

If James is fit and fresh that could be a bonus at right back.

Start with Saka who also had a rest in the first half.

Some good energy to come on later from the bench.

With that solid spine from Pickford, Konsa/Guehi, Anderson/Rice/Bellingham and Kane, I reckon we can really trouble the Argies.

I see we are slight favourites - that surprised me, but well worth the tag I reckon.

That’s a point that I hadn’t considered
