How long will he last?

I’m going for in between the two above. 😉

At a guess, about 18 months, and then he'll call a GE.

Depends if he can take the back benchers with him.

Some already agitating for him to water down the home secretary's tougher plans against migrants.

He starts with a blank slate like every PM.

At the moment he is hamstrung by the current one- unless he chooses to stick with it of course.

Does anyone know what his plans are yet? Some people seem more concerned about what Farage might do in 3 years but know nothing about ‘Andy’s’ plans next week.

Let's just give this one a bit of time and see how he does. And not expecting him to turn everything around in 6 months like we did with KS.

We can't keep running through PMs every year or so. We look like a joke.

He was ousted by his own MPs

The new Churchill. 15 years at least.

His position was untenable really - given how low the public's opinion of him was.

I'll still never get it.

That would make him older than Trump whilst in office.

Maybe because the public felt he was a poor PM!

Of course you didn't, and that's completely reasonable, but many didn't.

I also think many of his back benchers felt he was a poor PM.

Yes, we. Collectively. I think we all need to start giving PMs more time. And I'll say the same if Big Nige ever gets in too.

I think AB too his opportunity when the writing was on the wall. But the writing was only on the wall because of what I think, was the public's ludicrous overeaction to literally anything KS did. To the point where it reached a critical mass.

I wasn't a huge fan - but I'll still never understand the rage. As I've said on here countless times in the past.

Rage! 😅

He had a massive majority. He had 3 years left of this parliament.

You and others were saying he was doing a good job. It was Labour who did for Starmer. Forget the press, forget the local elections, forget me and a few others on a 3rd division (second) football forum . It was Labour MP’s who got us here.

‘We’ don’t have a say in this just like ‘we’ didn’t have a say in the previous two PM’s. It didn’t go well for them.

If so many form the same opinion, then it is hardly an over reaction.

He, and his cabinet started the rot almost as soon as they wiped their feet in number 10 and 11.

Old folk, hidden taxes, farmers, migration, defence, failure to implement certain policies, introducing one's that weren't detailed, scandals and bad appointments.

Now Ollie Robins is suing the government.

A fine opposition leader, caught in the headlights.

I don't think he was cut out for the political arena myself but his colleagues in the party have been scheming to get their own leader in since pretty much day one

I think this transitionary period he's had to go through has been massively disrespectful to a good man and I think a bit less of Burnham and a lot of his MPs because of it

I hope he surprises me but I think the Burnham period has the potential to be really cringe

I think he might need to dial down the rhetoric a bit too because there's no way he can deliver everything he's claiming he will
