January 31, 200521 yr Gotta be Derby. Not as high profile as Oldham, but non-the-less pissed me of when they too dumped us out of the FA Cup at their place one year. I never went to that match, but anyone who did will remeber the cramped, shitty conditions for away fans. Added to that, their fans got some Bolton blood that day! Vengeance is Bolton's !!!!!!!!!

January 31, 200521 yr 2-0 if its Fulham, we are due to beat them, and 3-0 if its Derby, home advantage should stand us in good stead...
January 31, 200521 yr 2-0 if its Fulham, we are due to beat them, and 3-0 if its Derby, home advantage should stand us in good stead... we really should bea twhich ever one of them teams we meet, I do hope that it's Derby though
January 31, 200521 yr You cannot really moan about a home draw at this stage of the competition. Realistically we should be either team, or at least expect to beat either if we apply ourselves correctly with the first team making an appearance. Then the quarter finals another home tie then we could be making a trip across to Hillsborough for an FACup semi-final - how good does that sound? And how good would that be? close on 20,000 whites making the short trip across the pennies - unless its on TV and half would stay at home :-$
January 31, 200521 yr Are the semi's not at cardiff this year? I'm sure someone told me they were, or was I misinformed??
January 31, 200521 yr Is it not Villa Park? Dont spoil it!! I guess it would depend on who the Four teams involved in the semi's would be. V Newcastle (Hillsborough or OT)
January 31, 200521 yr Are the semi's not at cardiff this year? I'm sure someone told me they were, or was I misinformed?? I though I'd heard that as well, so probably not the case!
January 31, 200521 yr http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/TheFACup/New...adium_Semis.htm The FA can confirm that this season???s FA Cup Semi-Finals will be played at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. The first Semi-Final will kick off at 5.15pm on Saturday 16 April 2005, with the second Semi-Final the following day at 4pm. The BBC and Sky Sports will each broadcast one Semi-Final live. This is the first time that the Millennium Stadium has been selected as The FA Cup Semi-Final venue. With a capacity of 74,525, it is significantly larger than both Villa Park (42,602) and Old Trafford (68,210) which have hosted the Semi-Finals in recent years. An FA spokesman said: "Taking the Semi-Finals to Cardiff will ensure that the Semi-Finals are played at a neutral venue and that the maximum number of fans are able to attend what are always great occasions.

January 31, 200521 yr the cost of the tickets for cardiff will put people especially if its against someone shite!
January 31, 200521 yr Unless we get Man Ure in the Semi's we will not sell our allocation against anyone else! 20,000 tops due to the distance to travel. How mad are the FA? Whats the point of lets say: Bolton v Diggles at Cardiff in front of 40k for the Semi when they could use OT and sell out, plus giving the fans that do go a lot less hassle? Is it cast in stone that they use this venue for the semi's? or can they switch depending on the teams?
February 1, 200521 yr Millenium Stadium - just about a home game for me. WTF wants OT to line their coffers.
February 1, 200521 yr Millenium Stadium - just about a home game for me. WTF wants OT to line their coffers. If it saves me ??100, me for one! My hatred for Man Ure does not stretch that far, that I would prefer to make a 4/5 hour journey to deepest darkest Wales, when I would hopefully be making the trip again a few weeks later! Just think its daft that the Semi locations are decided before they find out which teams are playing. Look at our Semi against Villa a few years back. If they would have held it at OT there would have been less travelling, lest costs and more people would have attendend the match.
February 1, 200521 yr Author that's just stooooopid. bolton end up playing everton. millennium stadium - 55,000 tops old trafford - 67,000 sell-out where's the sense in that? buy hey, they're being thoughtful in giving us a couple of hours extra travel time for the 5.15 kick off.
February 1, 200521 yr I'd sooner have a weekend in Cardiff than a day trip to Hillsborough You bunch of girls
