1-0 to the referee!

Apparently Steve Bennett got the champagne at the end of the game. Clearly Arsenal's best player today. He was instrumental in everything Arsenal did well today and was very effective in disrupting our midfield's progress.

Opta Rating 1435.

Mmm, not to many posts ago you were castigating EHD. Now it appears that it was steve Bennett at fault all along.

You've just (in another post) accused me and 14,999 others of being a half wit. Who's fault was it then? EHD for reacting or the ref for being a southern shandy drinking poofter?

I stand by the comments regarding Diouf's stupidity in getting sent off. I also feel that for the remainder of the game (86 mins including stoppage time) that Bennett was poor. The 2 statements are not mutually exclusive.

Micky, I'm not looking to fall out with fellow Wanderers, but The sending off really was stupid, whether deserved or not.

I saw our chances disappearing at 1-0 down and 10 men after just 9 minutes and that really has pissed me off. EHD deserved no applause and now I've just seen it again, it WAS a soft dismissal but he fell for the trick: hook line and sinker.

Bennett was awful today. Vieira was persistently fouling but didn't get a card all day. There was also a moment (most in the ESL would have seen this) when Lehmann nearly ripped Nolan's shirt off his back in the build-up to a corner kick. Again, Nolan could quite easily have reacted in the same manner as EHD. Could Bennett not see this? And if he and his linesman were so eagle-eyed how did they miss Davies elbowing Lehmann in the back in the first half? If there was a red card offence - this was probably it.

Traff, i agree 100% with your comments, the ref today, was complete and utter gary neville.

as for diouf . he let his team mates down , the fans , and the town of bolton down. i hope big sam shows him the ragging door ..

if we didnt have diouf we would be were we are in the league, we have to take the good with the bad, i feel there is more good coming from him than bad O:)

Even I went today, aprtly cos of the impassioned pleas on here but mostly cos one of the lads had a spare and it was doing him a favour. :D

Lehmann, Diouf, the ref, Ljungberg, Viera...what a bunch of puffs. Whinge whinge fuckin moan, dive about, deliberately get other players sent off for fcuk all and so on. Lehmann deliberately went over to Diouf to get him sent off, no doubt about it, he was fishing. But talk about taking the bait. It's the way it is now, raise a hand and you're off, no matter what happens in the run up. It's a crap rule but rules is rules.

5 million they want for him? 'Kin ell, keep the receipt for fcuk's sake, the numb red ginger.

Bolton were dross in the final third of the pitch but even so would've got summat from that game with 11 men I'd have to say.

EHD Wants showing the door

You want showing the door. where would we be without diouf? Probably bottom end of the table praying not to be relegated, but with him we are now praying for europe. EHD IS GOD!

not a personal attack on any one individual that plays in a forward position for boloton, but half a season of diouf is likely to be more productive than a full one of anybody else

and for that reason, we keep him

but only on our terms :-k

i suspect he's going to spain or france next year

I agree Cassie! We should keep him! He reacted yesterday to the Kraut like alot of other players would have! Sam needs somehow to 'tame' him!

Playing wise, he will be a major assest for us next season. Sam will sort him I'm sure!

sorry but for me there isnt even an arguement!

we MUST sign diouf, even if he is prone to a couple of dumb things every season.

i just hope they want less and our chance's of getting him have increased now!

i think we should sign him

however i am sure we can have a cluase in the contract that means if he is banned he does n't get paid.

clubs often have a pay as you play contract but there is normally because of injury worries, but why not for discipline ?

i think we should sign him

=D> =D>

well said if he wants his money he has to earn it!

i think we should sign him

nowt to stop us offering it, but i just don't see why he'd accept such a deal

because, lets be honest, he's still a very good player

i think we should sign him

i thought i read somewhere that most of our players wages are made up of appearance and performance money?

and red cards are instant fine of a weeks wages anyway?

i think we should sign him

depends what he gets offered elsewhere.

but incidents like saturdays make him less and less attractive to other teams.

just need him to get pissed and drive home will get him on a free.

He may well have cost us the necessary revenue needed to buy him- though no-one knows whether we would have won with 11.

He's going to miss at least 3 games now on top of 3 already missed.

As much as he's been good for us, it may be better to pursue other avenues.

can diouf not make a public apology to us all? the guy's reputation is shot to shit as far as I am concerned. take a conversation saturday evening with a couple of older generation non-football fans in the family. they'd heard of diouf being sent off following up from his parking problems in manchester. their opinion of the guy was quite low.

he needs to do something charitable or the like and do an interview on Football Focus or the like (appear on Soccer AM) to improve his own PR.

smiles

i don't give a toss what older generation non-football fans think of him

i don't care what other football fans think of him

i don't care what talkshite think of him

it isn't really that important what we (the fans) think of him at the moment

he's the best player we are likely to get, so you give him a longer rope

but he's got to stop being a pillock otherwise he'll never be on the pitch to show how good he is

The money that it would take to buy Diouf would be better spent on a player who will play 38 games a season.

How many chances does Diouf need? If he had a brain cell it would be very lonely.
