Anybody heard anything re tickets?

Re ticket applications?

I have been told from a ticket office source that even 2 vouchers will not guarantee a ticket if we are unsuccessfull in receiving additional tickets. They are still waiting to see how many takers they have on their official trip.

In effect therefore as we thought these "people" would appear to get first choice and the rest of us loyal supporters are left high and dry again.

If this is true then its an utter disgrace.

THE CORPORATE TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE WITH NO VOUCHERS

FACT !!!

I have faith, that the helpful BWFC will be doing everything in their power to obtain further tickets. I believe they will not be sell the tickets just to the people who are travelling with them.

theres a number on the offical site for the communications dept

maybe they will communicate with you :^o

ps i hear there were less than 900 bolton fans at west ham, so it follows less than 900 can apply with two vouchers

re: TICKETS - THE TRUTH????

I have been told by a friend that Bolton have not applied for more tickets, and will not be getting more tickets. L.P would have been able to provide another 1,500, BWFC did not want them.

Interesting.

re: TICKETS - THE TRUTH????

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reasons why.

1.They couldnt be bothered arranging the transport for another 1,000 -1,500.

2.They didnt want to pay an extra ??10 each for the ticket.

3.They are more likely to fill their ??650+ VAT exec trip if tickets are scarce.

crazy

well I'm sure there was a quote from Gartside right after the draw was made saying we'd take 2-3000 and sounding quite proud of that fact!

i do think the club will try and get more tickets but why is there not regular updates.

1. have the club already asked for more tickets ?

2. if not why not ?

3. when will the club ask ?

4. how applications have been reiceibed with 2,1 or 0 vouchers.

it is a business we are customers, not asking them for too much here...

This is BWFC we are talking about, of course its too much to ask ... I smell a Cardiff coming on ](*,)

It's only 2 weeks since the draw. ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

I saw that interview on SkySports News after the draw.

I can't remember the exact wording, but it was along these lines:

" We took about 1000 fans to a non-event game in Pisa for the Anglo-Italian Cup a few years ago, so I'm really looking forward to playing in the UEFA Cup with a really big support behind us, probably around 2 to 3 thousand will come to see us!"

ps i hear there were less than 900 bolton fans at west ham, so it follows less than 900 can apply with two vouchers

Probably about 1000, but a lot of them were 'London' fans, ie Okocha fans, Nakata fans and they won't be wanting tickets for Bulgaria and won't have been to villa either.

thinking about it if there are 750 people with 2 both vouchers I'll be surprised!

If we don't ask for (and don't get any tickets), we are wide open to:

Plovdiv open pay on the day gate, this is mobbed and we have a potential Hillsborough-esque turnstyle crush.

Hundreds/thousands of Bolton fans enter an unsegregated area and we have another potential Heysal.

Hundreds/thousands of ticketless Bolton fans milling round the ground get mullered by the Bulgarian Police/Army.

Phil Garty and the club lawyers need to brush up on Corporate Manslaughter laws, they have already lost 90K this week due to incompetance.

Rueben and Moores need to start communicating immediately. Sticking your fingers in your ears and going "lalalalalalala" won't make this problem go away.

Which AGAIN will be highlighted in the media about English fans behaviour on the continent , when it can so easily been avoided!

you can see it now...

"Ticketless fans marr European Clash"

WHO'S FAULT WILL THAT BE?

the lads who have followed their club passionately for years and have waited for this moment all their life and refuse to be part of the corporate extorsion currently inflicted by football clubs.

WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE BWFC WE ARE GOING WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE TICKETS, IT IS IN YOUR INTERESTS TO GET SOME MORE

reading between the lines

deadline day for applications is 12th September, why have a deadline, they don't normally

reason, on 13th Septemeber they see how many people want tickets, see how many additional tickets are required and apply for that amount

i may have said this elsewhere

not arsed if i did, i will say it again as i'm convinced that is the reason

and then on the 14th september, Bolton announce they've successfully negotiated for x more tickets, so don't worry, everyone who applied for one will get one, we all brief a huge sigh of relief and think that the ticket office are ok really

they then find Horwich's application which fell behind the radiator and he goes without

I suspect - and hope - you're right.

The price hike is unjustifiable though...

I suspect  - and hope - you're right.

so I'm not the only one who doesn't want that bummer Horwich there either, thought so

they then find Horwich's application FOR CARDIFF which fell behind the radiator and he goes without

I've been told that the B.E.N may be interested in running an article on the ticket problems. It might be a chance to get some anwers.

I have already emailed the editor, his email is

shughes@boltoneveningnews.co.uk

He replied as soon as possible.

He has said that he want to hear the views of other wanderers fans.

I think everyone should do the same.

The reporters might seem sympathetic towards you when they are interviewing you but you can bet that when the story is printed it will vindicate BWFC.

whichever way they dress it up biff, theres no spin they can put on going outside their priority allocation procedure - which they appear to have done

but i agree

the BEN may as well shut up shop without the wanderers so its not gonna be any great expos??

i'm sure the club are doing what they can. i just wished they had given us more information. the communication has been very poor.

from someone in the ticket office

who lives next door to my old man

the club are waiting for a reply from plovdiv

they are the ones holding everything up

but who knows if this is true

i'm sure the club are doing what they can. i just wished they had given us more information. the communication has been very poor.

Have we had any communication from them about tickets, except to try and scare people into buying travel packages through BWFC

what's everyone worrying about

we got 910 tickets, this was on the club website

the club are negotiating for more, this is also on the website

I don't feel in the dark*

of the 910 I don't expect to get one

I know that I will be at the match

*this is because I'm totally confident I'm right on reason for deadline on earlier post

Horwich is being gay, ignore him
