I m a fan from paris just to tell you to be carefull in marseille next february. I red many bullshits about marseille on this forum especially about north africans.I m french and every year I m going with my friends in marseille to suport paris. I m not a great fan of this city but the region is definitely one of the most beautiful in europe.The city is quite big and is living for football.Most of the inhabitants are usually friendly if you don t speak about soccer.By the way I was there for the world cup 1998 and what happened there was quite normal. I have seen a little part of the englih fans singing racist songs(most of the english fans were friendly) but they didn t seem to realize that the mentality in southern europe is really different,people are kind but if you mess with them you can put yourself in big trouble.I was in the prado (it s the beach in marseille) and I have seen youngsters from marseille beating up every person who seemed to be an english fan.I was ashamed for the organisators of the world cup and also for these few "crazy hooligans" who spent the rest of the day running in the streets of marseille trying to find a way to leave the city without having thei ass kicked.To finish I m sure that if you just go to the south of france to support BOLTON to have fun and to drink several pints of beer the only problem you ll meet is maybe the price of the beer.About the stadium it s quite big you ll be in front of the "virage nord" and the view is a shit.You ll probably receive the welcome from them(bottles coins golf balls and stuff like that.)the capacity of the stadium is 60 000.Marseille counts around 45 000 thousands lifetime members which is a shit because if they don t come to the stadium to see the match you can t buy these tickets.Anyway I m sure that most of you wouldn t like to stand with home fans (it could be dangerous for you) another point is the numbers of people in the stadium usually in france when you enter in the stadium with your members card you give it to a friend after for him to get in 1+1 :::::::::::: (especially in the south there s no security at all) sometimes in Marseille and paris for great eurocups game you have up to 8000 thousands unofficial fans so don t worry.don t buy tickets at the entrance of the stadium because you ll get tricked.I don t think that a lot of people will go to see the game because BOLTON is not very famous and it s quite far and cold.In marseille expect a little 50 000 fans with animations and songs.Unlike PARIS marseille can be either one of the best atmospheres of europe or just violence and whispers (PARIS IS REALLY GOOD GO THERE YOU LL LOVE IT) Your players should be carefull because it seems that if you put 11 goats with the jersey of marseille in the velodrome (it s the name of the stadium) they are capable of beating brazil.We don t know why but they have a very big history in champions league and uefa thanks to their home games these last two years they bet rome,milan,liverpool,newcastle etc...
