sorry to blow you out smiley, but me and jay went to the ukranian club checking out the function room with the idea of using it for our wedding reception.

we couldnt use it because the guy said it would sit 150. although rooms are quoted as 'holding x amount' that usually always includes some standing.

smiley is right, you need to personally check the rooms, count seats etc.and pre test the alcohol ( ill test the vodka :D )

I could help there! :D

I would really like to put forward Mediquip for Kids as one of the chosen charities. I know one of the fund raisers and she would probably help out with any stuff required to get this dinner off the ground, etc. Its her job!

MedEquip4Kids - all linked to Booth Hall and other childrens hospitals and wards throughout the region. Would be a great charity for us to donate to.

I agree RMI is superb for a sportsmans dinner but of the 173 people who attended last years dinner none of them lived in Horwich.

It's already been decided, has it? :-k

Hey, not trying to cause trouble or owt, but when was it decided which charities would be donated to? I ain't really bothered, but thought I would make this suggestion "early doors" as they are a very worthwhile charity reaching children across the region. Plus I can imagine that the woman I know would put time and effort into promoting the event (selling tickets, raffle tickets, actively looking for auction items, sponsors, etc) - is this something the other charities do?

Don`t wish to cause offence but as i do most of the work i like to think i have a big say in the charities we raise money for. I put a lot of hard graft into last years event but if you wish to organise this years event then your welcome to it.

Good luck.

he aint f??ckin wrong you know.

WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH!

STEADY ON BOYS.

I agree that Brixton should have a major say in choosing the charities, as he does the bulk of the work, BUT surely that doesn't mean he's not open to suggestions. Or am I wrong and the charities have already been chosen.

If so, might I ask who the charities are and why we should support them?

S'okay, taking my ball back now. Anyone want to sponsor me doing a parachute jump? Need to get at least ??250 in sponsors before they will consider me.... oh and get below 14st.

I'd say getting yourself below 14 stones will be more of a challenge than the parachute jump! :D

=D>

what happend if you are over 14 stones? do you die?

FAO SMILEY

How about a sponsored slim?

I will if you will.

All proceeds to charity.

i've got some bits you could auction .

also i know its only northampton , but i could get a signed shirt done.

Hang chaps this wagon is running of it's rails. Let's get back on track.

I think a meeting needs to be arranged to discuss this instead of jibes at each other.

It's all in hand.

Brixton has asked Smiley if he'd like to organise it and he declined.

The blue-shirted tit-liner has the situation under control.

I still think it would help Brixton if more than one help out.
