..........it was never going to be but it was a win. Could not believe some Bolton fans on the phone-ins saying it was crap. Yes the crowd was flat, Sunderland fans turned up but they were just like death row inmates, it was also on the back end of a demoralising FA cup exit??????. Oh, and it was feckin??? cold too.

Same result, performance, weather blah blah blah???. against Chelsea and the phone-ins would be jam packed with what a great performance it was.

For me it was a job done, 3pts ta very much. No complaints from undies.

No complaints from me either. Shite game. Shite atmosphere. Poor Sunderland performance on and off the field. I only stood up once, after our second goal. But who cares, 3 points, clean sheet and both Kevins scoring.

Blackburn look to have the easiest run in on paper ](*,)

our support plummeted to new depths today, if anything ever stops me going to football it will be the lack of atmosphere created by our supporters.

Aye but we play on grass, they'll slip up.

Today was all about getting the result. Job done. Thought Big Sam was right though crowd should have got behind them abit more. Jussi Kept looking at the north lower and telling us to clap!!

Jussi is also looking to move. So that's his excuse as well is it?

It isn't always up to he fans to get the team going. Sometimes it is up to the team to get the fans going and today was a bore. Ok we go 3 points but it was dull. Hardly edge of you seats stuff.

I think that the crowd at the Fulham game was worse, as I said at the time in my Football is the new Rugby thread.

Sam had a moan AT THE FANS, this ground has been well covered before but to recap, 23,000 home fans almost outnumbered by orangeutangs who are itching to chuck people out for standing up isn't conducive to creating an atmosphere. It's the club's fault all the way.

Yesterday was awful atmosphere admitidely but you watch MOtD and listen to some of the other atmospheres. They are really bad!!

Yesterday was always going to be like that - simple as no matter what happened against west ham. its the 1st time this season i've actually noticed a really bad atmosphere in all honesty.

Bit harsh on some of the Sunderland fans, a group of em did make some effort in the first half but the stewards did their job and made sure any atmosphere was killed dead, embarrassing. I'm guessin the stewards won't do f*ck all in two weeks when all the scum fans are stood up tho..

=D> eg-fuckin-zacally. Seeing one lad get bundled out by 3 heroic warrior-stewards was simply embarassing. Like you say, will the same hard men pile into 3000 Filth fans? Will they fcuk. Utter utter disgrace - and the club then have the gall to whinge about the atmosphere.

As for the game well it was always going to be like this - this is exactly what happens when Bolton play crappier teams; and, with the exception of maybe if they've yet to go to Newcastle, I can't imagine the atmosphere will be any better at any of Sunderland's remaining away games - it's a no-win situation for the home side and crowds will know it.

If Sam or Jussi don't like it then tough - shut up or fcuk off, and take the stewards with you.

Yeah I noticed that too

But the 3 points are in the bag thats all the matters

Crowd was very dire yesterday was like a morgue at times
