May 2, 200620 yr There are an awful lot of people posting on here who seem to know little about the Premiership positions, European qualification etc.. We were never going to overtake Blackburn once we'd lost on Sunday - any thoughts that we would were those of deluded optimists (or people who couldn't add up). All we could realistically hope for was 7th, which is still possible, it's Newcastle that we're competing with for that, not Blackburn.

Thinking about this whilst driving to work this morning. A few weeks ago I can recall the club (or even Sam himself) stating that a number of invites to preseason mini tournaments were on hold until BWFC knew what commitments the club had. I can only assume that these 'other commitments' implies Intertoto and UEFA qualifying games?

I just dont see why Sam is trying to make out the next two games are meaningless when we need 2 x wins to get the intertoto place, and why the club would not at this stage declare we have entered if only to try and encourage more fans to show up for the remaining matches by making out we have something to play for???
