I don't understand some attitude on here, I'm sorry but we have spent very little money, Sam has worked a miracle over the last few years. We have still got him (looking like we are going to keep him) and have missed out on Europe by only a couple of points. In addition, we made Europe last year and was only a couple of points off Champions League.

 

Europe and Champions League is like a dream still and finishing 8th is still a massive achievement this year! Some big names have left but other names will come in.

 

I have renewed my ticket and am looking forward to the new season, up the whites!!

Atmosphere is awful. You feel like a leper if you swear. Kick off times and days changed at will. Sky TV / Arabic channel options to watch most games live.

 

All in all a better atmosphere in the pub. I personally will pick my games.

 

Count me in away from home.

 

Thats if i can get a ticket in the stampede.

 

It's nothing to do with the team - I hope the team go on and win the premier league.

 

It's actually being there, getting there and getting back - it feels like a waste of time, money and energy.

Carlos - any topic that does not go over the old old ground of what makes the Reebok a shite atmosphere etc etc. We all posted plenty of messages a month or so back on this subject (I am sure you started at least 1 of the threads) and I dont want this thread about renewing season tickets developing into a repeat.

Why not if it's genuinely one of the reasons people aren't renewing?

reebok is less than 20 minutes on the match buses from town

 

if folk can't be arsed doing that, they can't be that keen on watching

It is air that creates atmosphere. Perhaps tey should dismantle the stands at each corner to let more air in.

I still say get rid of the tellys for the last 15 minutes.

The Reebok looks good, is invaluable when it comes to attracting new signings & is going to be our home for the next x amount of years. I mean, I couldn't imagine the likes of Jay-Jay & Youri signing if they'd have visited Burnden Park.

 

I'm not keen on it, like many others. But as long as the team are performing, we'll sell seats and fans like me won't be missed. So it doesn't really matter anyway.

 

I've no excuse for missing away games now, though 8-[

'going to Burnden was a social event, coming to the Reebok is a bit of a chore.... perhaps I'm getting old'

 

1. Some sterile footy and some of the poorest footballing entertainment for a good while this season, other games where amongst the best!

 

2. Satelite availability in t' pub.

 

3. Cost

 

4. Atmosphere- though this would be aided by a decent song!

 

A lot of folk on here remember the 4th div days and now it's just simply different, money oner romance maybe.

I'm still renewing, though a lot of folk aren't and I think the club are in for a shock unless they pull out some decent signings!

I think the main reason we have such a poor atmosphere is becuase we don't have an anthem to sing. A song to really remind the other fans that your there. Our songs are sh*t, you can't really put your heart into singing them. We need an anthem!
