Season Ticket Sales

Featured Replies

Anyone any idea how many sold for the next season?

From my straw poll so many are NOT renewing, yet a pal in the press records the club have announced we're heading for record ST sales. I never saw that but then again I don't buy a paper!

I find it hard to believe given the frequent 'hurry up' emails I get off the club and the fact in general interest seems to be waning.

Ste

there was a piece of positive spin in the press

bearing in mind renewal/early purchase deadlines have been brought forward, it should follow taht we would have better figures earlier in the summer

i think the quotes were attributed to moores and to be fair, he did say that there was no guarantee sales would be up

the comments were given in response to a survey suggesting ST sales across the prem would be considerably down

ST sales are doing fine. not expected to be down on last year.

probably about the same.

And the source of this dubious info?

They didnt release any sales figures last week which they would have done if they had been impressive.Apparantly it was too early for them to have a figure.

When average gates were 26,700 in 2003/04 instead of increasing the capacity they put up prices 15% to reduce demand.

If they had kept season ticket prices around the ??400 mark (it was ??323 in the lower tier in the early 2000s)they could have the ground full for half the matches. But they'd rather have fewer people paying more money which might make business sense but makes for a poorer match day experience.

And its not as if the increased takings they get is spent on the team which is why this disgruntled punter is unlikely to renew.

I don't think the price is the major issue . There are fans at other clubs in the country who have to pay lots more and earn comparable wages.

We've grown to expect too much and something happened to our fans at the back end of the season that I couldn't (and still can't) put my finger on. Like many I didn't forward to going to the match - even the ones when we were almost gauranteed 3 points.

Something happened after we were knocked out of UEFA. The majority of people I've seen posting on here went to some, if not all, of the away UEFA matches and are now questioning why they even go to the Reebok. People's fond memories of Burnden are one thing, but, I for one haven't got a clue why we've lost interest in the club. It's more than money and finances, somethings gone wrong mentally.

Answrs on an ecard :-k

FACT, rather than whinging

monkfish nows nowt about football, but re the ticket office he's itk :-$

i have renewed after much deliberation, but i will probably change it later from east lower to north lower.

Renewed mine Yesterday. The girl in the ticket office just shrugged her shoulders & said we need a big money signing to increase sales, when i asked how the tickets were selling.

Just thought I'd let you all know.

toodle pip :D :D :D

this is where big sams desire to sign a big name comes from

even more so especially with jayjay gone

the players that we have got are high profile in their own countries but not really so here in england

and the ones that are high profile over here like jussi, nolan and taliban are linked to every other club week in week out

the players that we sign are always either from youth, past it and we need to rekindle or journeymen and big sams trying to get that top name in his prime player to recapture interest in us

whereas i agree with this i think wed be better concentrating on getting an awesome midfielder in rather than a striker as we have plenty of strikers in and can cope without signing another just for the sake of it

the question is can we sign a big name? even when we signed jayjay he was in decline

we need to be able to in order to keep the bolton fans interested and keep sam happy

Still got to get mine, when does the 10% discount offer run out???

Does this 10k include the instalment payment season ticket holders and we can also expect a massive increase when Big Sam signs Zidane after the World Cup :-$ :-# !?

ITK! FACT!

Gareth Moores said season ticket sales were on the up, surely some mistake?

Most I've spoken to aren't bothering. Give it another 5 years and Reebok will be all kiddies, familes and hot dogs in the stands...............

Aye,and when football goes out of fashion for the "prawn sandwich" brigade, they'll probably try and get the ordinary fans back by reducing prices etc,but by then it'll be too late- and the game will be fcuked ](*,)
