1 he's a lump it merchant, and that won't work with one up front

 

2 his crossing is generally poor

 

3 he's been injured and can't be fully up to speed

5 hargreaves is a more than competent defender, and can pass better

They tell us that we function better down the right if Neville and Beckham are in the team. Maybe this has more to do with him starting than anything else

As far as I'm conerned he can f??ck off, as you say been injured, not fit etc., play Hargreaves 8-[

Nicky Hunt should have been taken as cover, and then we wouldn't have any problem 8-[

i would play hargreaves for carrick,with them playing 5 in midfield as well,i dont think carrick will cope defensively.

However, Phil Neville aside, Hargreaves must be the worst player ever to get 35 England caps

Peversley, I would like to see that one trick pony Ronaldo make him look like the below average stump that he really is.

Figo will be playing wide left so we need Gaz Nev's experience is nullifying that threat. Figo would make a mug out of Hargreaves for fun.

the reason why I do not rate GN is because whenever he plays against anyone decent they make him look average.

Playing out of position at full back is all well and good, but when the real tests come you get exposed if you aren't up to it. I suspect that fate would await Hargreaves against Figo and Ronaldo.

I don't see how he can be fully fit. He looked off the pace in the Paraguay game. It's far from ideal but I would go with Hargreaves he's fit and strong and supported Beckham ok last Sunday
