Phoenix Club Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Natasha, I don't post a lot on here and I've been reading some of your valid and not so valid posts. But I'd best order you an ambulance. As some posts have already mentioned, you should look at what the Midlands can offer, the North East, Merseyside etc.... It's fact that a lot of Premiership, and I guess lower league, players live in Bolton so that in itself speaks volumes for the town and what it has to offer. You don't even need to drive 10 minutes out of the centre of the town to see some fantastic areas to live if you had the money and wanted to live there...Chorley New Road and Lostock, Egerton, Edgeworth, Bromley Cross to name but a few. And then you have the countryside that belongs to our town which speaks for itself...Rivington, Jumbles, Entwhistle..... Bolton has given our country a hell of a lot and will continue to do so. Taking Manchester, what has that got to offer a footballer that Bolton can't? Yes, Manchester has the shops and though I hate to say it, for the top footballers, United were you have a chance of silverware and Champions League football pretty much every season. Everyone knows a footballer or more the greed (mercenaries if you want to call them) and chance of silverware dictates to a large extent which club they will go after. London apart (and who would live there?), all other areas of the country are nip and tuck in terms of what's on offer. Are you actually from Bolton? A true Boltonian? A true Bolton fan? [-X
no balls Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 I forget that irony is wasted on the masses Forgiven! Irony? Best thing it can do though is the ironing!
Sweep Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 London apart (and who would live there?)To be fair there are some fantastic places to live in London, and I don't subscribe to the "it's a total sh??thole" philosophy that many on here seem to believe. London will always have an attraction, as it is , like it or not, the most vibrant, wealthy and cosmopolitan city in this country

Casino Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 London will always have an attraction, as it is , like it or not, the most vibrant, wealthy and cosmopolitan city in this country tis correct gnasher has a point, in so much as if we were in london it would be more easy to attract players of that i have no doubt but thats not because bolton is a shithole its purely distance from london so the lakes area non-starter
Guest Natasha Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Are you actually from Bolton? A true Boltonian? A true Bolton fan? [-X I was born in Bolton, so I guess that makes me a true Boltonian. But it???s just a place of birth, I had no choice in the matter. But people are getting over-emotional about this subject. I???m simply pointing out that Bolton has a stigma of being a dump. I???m sure the places you describe are fantastic but the truth is most people outside of the town look at Bolton as being stuck in the 1870???s. Footballers are no different. I am simply suggesting a move will improve our chances of attracting better players.

American 'football' teams move towns and we all know what a pointless game of rugby with shoulder pads that is. Go away please as I am starting to bite to your inane drivel! I blame my hormones!

London is a shit-hole but international opinion is that it???s a funky, modern city where everyone lives like Simon Cowell. Unfortunately you can???t wipe out years of public opinion overnight. Only a move up the M6 can do this.
Sweep Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Only a move up the M6 can do this. Or what about down towards East Anglia or Essex, there are no decent teams to speak of there, they are near London and best of all.................................Glen Hoddle still lives in Harlow, and so he could walk straight into the managerial role :D/ Natasha is special, let's cherish her, she has vision and the land of the dim she is our shining beacon :^o
jimmyjoojar Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Natasha stop talking shit and spend some time washing that dried spunk out of your hair!

Traf Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 In Brazil, apparently, the term for a council refuse dump is ???a Bolton???. Now my Portugese isn't very good, but I would have thought it was more likely to be "Ponta da Recusa"...............so you're just making more stuff up and looking as silly as ever local de elimina????o da recusa do conselho
