Just got back from sunny Burnley, lost 2-1 for those who don't know.

 

Fortune played about 60mins, looked very good. Excellent on the ball and looked sharp. Played left back but got forward well.

 

Idan Tal looks a good player, played all across the midfield. Good passing and good in the tackle.

 

Vaz Te scored, did well. Diouf back, lost a little weight and looks sharp.

 

Nicky Hunt hasn't lost it either...

 

he did play centre half in first half and right back second half. We did OK for 60mins, looked quite good then Sam brought all the kids on. I counted 13 subsitutions. Al Habsi looked dodgy, Walker played and also Jussi. 30mins each.

 

Something happened down the tunnel just before kick off. Someone collapsed Im guessing. All BWFC staff ran from the dugout to see and then a doctor. Campo was warming up first half but then came out in just a tracksuit second half. Think it may be him.

 

No sign of Stella, Peders and the world cup players.

when a couple of us bumped into him in Lisbon airport on the way to the friendlys a cople of years ago he totally blanked us we were stood talking to gordon sharrock he knew we were bolton fans, personally could not give a flyin fook about allardyce or any footballer acknowledging fans but it just when to prove his head is up his own arse.

In short - it's poor Management - his job aint just to pick the team. I know it's becoming a smaller part of total income, but we are STILL the customers.

Potential signings do not care about the percentage of fans buying Season Tickets, but they don't want to play for a Manager who is discontent.

 

I will reiterate for Ian and Biff who seemed to have missed my previous post - I do not want Sam to leave but he should back the club publicly and show we are one single unit with a united goal.

Call me cynical but when you are trying to attract a foreign player to our club they aren't concerned about what Sam thinks about the fans or will Sam be looking for a bigger club next season or are the fans going to sing and dance on the terraces.

They are looking for a club that is willing to fill their banky balance with as much money as possible over the longest period of time in the contract.

Otherwise they wouldn't be seen dead near clubs or managers at Wigan or Middlesboro or Portsmouth etc.

Zoz you're right - money is a big factor, but they want to play for stable clubs with stable Mgt structures as more than anything else, if a player does well for Bolton it will normally be in conjunction with the team playing well around them - which is more likely if the Manager is happy. Now then, (to match your cynicism) if a player does well for us, it puts him in the frame for the top few clubs (like Nolan is rumoured to have done) which leads to career progression and an even bigger payday.
