He was referring to the 3 new signings that he will hopefully bring in this week, not the one's already here you plum!
olispence Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 hopefully jussi hunt metie haim fortune campo nolan speed stel anelka saviola
stinkythefrog Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 With our current problems I am half expecting the two Sams to get a game this weekend
Eddie Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 hopefully jussi hunt metie haim fortune campo nolan speed stel anelka saviola Can you imagine having those 2 up front. I know it is very optamistic and also a very slim possabiltiy, but there is still a chance. Those 2 up front would be in the top 3 front lines in the premiership IMO after Arsenal and Chelsea. Even if the 9 players behind them on the team sheet were utter sh1te then the opposing team would still look at it and be scared. Get um Signed!
frank_spencer Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 hopefully jussi hunt metie haim fortune campo nolan speed stel anelka saviola Campo on the right wing?????
maje Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 jussi hunt ben haim meite fortune campo nolan tal stelios vaz te diouf subs, walker/alhabsi, speed, smith, fojut, a n other
HomerJay Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 jussi hunt ben haim meite fortune campo nolan tal stelios vaz te diouf subs, walker/alhabsi, speed, smith, fojut, a n other speed will be 1st name on teamsheet...
maje Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 speed will be 1st name on teamsheet... it was between speed and tal in the middle for me. i just thought tal might be a bit more creative in the middle. and to be honest nolan and jussi will probably be the first names on the team sheet. imo
RiCcI Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 anyone remember the time we threw a team together for the first game of the season, a couple of seasons ago against charlton, cant remember the score, but i think it was 4 - 1 in our favour.
jules_darby Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Fortune is injured apparently. He won't play on Saturday.
Arnold Jackson Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Fortune is injured apparently. He won't play on Saturday. Was just reading who the B.E.N thinks is out for Saturday and it is a little worrying to think who may be playing left back . . . possibly against Mr Lennon 80
Eavesy Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 campo played left back against az we will play jussi hunt, meite, haim, campo speed nolan stelios diouf smith vaz te subs : al habsi, borgetti, fojut, sissons, augustin
Traf Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 (edited) As things stand: I'd expect the following. Jaaskelainen --------------- Hunt Meite Ben Haim Speed -------------- Campo ------------- Vaz T?? Stelios Nolan Diouf ------------ Davies Because our glorified 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 flexible formation is really the old 4-1-4-1 employed by France in 98. Subs: Al Habsi / Walker Augustyn Fojut Smith Borgetti / Doris the tea lady. Close call between the 2 keepers: either will do, as it's unlikely they'll be needed. As for the last place on the bench, I'd prefer the Borg, but i think Sam has more faith in old Doris. In fact I think he'd pick anybody before the Borg. Edited August 14, 2006 by Traf

Spider Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Given the circumstances, if Borgetti doesn't start I think he'd be perfectly entitled to chin Sam Allardyce. I seriously think the Borg has been banging his missus, because if a youth teamer gets the nod ahead of him, he's gone. And I for one am gutted that a guy who is clearly class has not been given a fair crack. Cheesed off, Bolton.
top_boy_84 Posted August 15, 2006 Author Posted August 15, 2006 starting to think nolan will get thrown up fron too now. no way they will change to playing anything other than lump it to a physical presence up front. also think al-habsi will start ahead of borg up front as he is big! would love borg to play on saturday and bag a couple!!
Lennie Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Given the circumstances, if Borgetti doesn't start I think he'd be perfectly entitled to chin Sam Allardyce. And I for one am gutted that a guy who is clearly class has not been given a fair crack. Cheesed off, Bolton. Dont think there is a chance that Borg will play. Sam has been very clear about his desire to offload Borg before the transfer window closes. He's not going to risk him picking up an injury that scuppers any possible transfer.

The Borg is off for definite. I was at a party with him and Campo on Saturday night and I was talking with Campo, he said that Borgetti is going and he is very sad about it. I also asked him about whether we had signed Anelka (as it was the day Happy posted and seemed sure that we had signed him) and he changed the subject, which made me wonder whether he knows something but has been told not to say anything?
Traf Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 Allardyce won't play the Borg, unless he's desperate. Should the Borg play and score a couple, Allardyce will look a prick for not using him previously and also trying to offload him.
Eavesy Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 i hope borgetti doesnt play. incase he does score and therefore forces sam to keep him, possibly preventing us from signing a actually decent forward. borgetti should never be forgiven for his performance in portugal, absolutley pathetic
