I agree with the general sentiment on here. WE should get behind Sam. We would probably still be perennial relegation fodder if it wasn't for him and we certainly wouldn't of had the European tour last year.

 

I don't dispute the fact that Sam has had aspirations bigger than the club in recent years, but he is still with us and, as we would expect the players to get behind him irrespective, we should do the same. Something like this should galvanise the club, we should stick together - isn't that what is being a supporter is all about?

the dust has now settled on the programme and i have had time to reflect on what has been said, i think your wide of the mark here traf, you say he is guilty by association, remember nothing has been proven against anybody yet, just hearsay and conjecture, in buiness, as you know people big up there contacts and what service they can offer, you must remember the 3 agents were giving it the hard sell to attract what they thought was a multi millionaire backer, what you must also remember is the biggest player in the loan/transfer/agent market is a certain Mr Sam Allardyce and BWFC, his name would be first in the mind of every agent in the world, it is hardly suprising he was named by 3 agents, Sam allardyce has stated that he is 100% innocent and i think we have a duty to support a man who has brought our club unprecedented kudos in the world of football until he is catergorically proven guilty, he has my support.

 

p.s.There is no doubt in my mind that the BBC have issues with our club and we should back our club to the hilt.

in the transfer dealing we have been involved in no doubt he has come into touch with soem dodgy characters but if his relationship with these agents was so cosy why would so many deals fall through at last minute ?

 

9 months undercover investigation and they have 3 snippets of people mentioning his name, in all that time not one word from sam himself despite the fact that we are constantly looking for players.

I think Traf is correct. People are backing Sam - when none of us really know the truth. What we saw last night was obviously a diluted indication that there is potentially evidence that will commit Sam to the dustbin. IMO if he is lining his pockets via his son's pockets with THE FANS hard earned cash - then he's go to go. Sorry, but that's how it is.

 

Don't forget people, he's been touting himself for various jobs. He's attacked the fans for their support. He has frustrated many with various signings and tactics. Don't all jump on the "Big Sam is Innocent" bandwagon now.

the ONLY job he has touted himself for is the England job and i am actually proud that our manager is good enough to be even considered for the job.

 

some of his tactis and signings have frustrated people but the vasy majority of his desicions have improved the teams performance, the signings of jayjay, youri, hierro, campo, davies and anelka far outwiegh the odd tuekey along the way.

I agree we should give Sam our support - the BBC had no evidence that he had done anything wrong. They tried to make a big deal of the fact that it was easy for his son to talk to him! - Of course it is. At worst he can be accused of nepotism - I'm sure plenty of that goes on at the BBC.

Agreed. Big club great support but to many people meddling behind the scene's usually the chairman.

As for backing Big Sam. In my lifetime we have never had it so good as Bolton fans. Top 10 finish

3 seasons running. Carling Cup Final 2004, Europe by qualifying in the top 6. Not squeaking in after losing

a cup final. Reaching the knockout stages of the UEFA cup. I remember the dark days of Scarborough (a)

Aldershot in the play off & Darlington at home. We're no longer a selling, Yo Yo club with a chairman more interested in getting his other company promoted than the super whites. Now we're an established Premiership team better equipped to get a European slot than ever before.
