I keep hearing the no evidence thing but isn't the fact that Sam was implicated by 3 agents for taking bungs including his own son pretty damning ? Isn't the fact that Harrison admitted paying Craig Allardyce for 2 transfers he wasn't supposed to be involved in pretty damning ? Didn't Harrison say he slips some money to Craig to keep the deal sweet ? I know that is Craig not Sam but when Sam agrees to have Craig involved in deals surely he at least has a duty of care to ensure things like this aren't happening and should be making sure the deals like this are whiter than whiter ?

I agree there isn't enough evidence to convict in a court of law but there is plenty of evidence to arouse considerable suspicion around our transfer dealings.

The best way to show this would be for all to go to Portsmouth next monday. Not that it will happen but there couldnt have been a better match to show your backing . Furthest away match live on sky on a weekday. Now that would be good. :)

I wasn't going to go .... until last night. See you all there!

The problem Sam has is how does he prove himself innocent ? I know the rules are innocent until proven guilty but we all know in the world of football mud sticks. He was accused of taking bungs by 3 different agents including his own son.

If the allegations are true he has been taking money from the club and hence the fans illegally or allowing his son to do it . If he is innocent why the hell did the agents all say he took bungs ? If he is innocent he has been stitched up good style including by his own son.

I don't think they have anywhere enough evidence to prove Sam guilty in a court of law but it is hard to see Sam being able to completely clear his name either.

The annoying thing was the way they bleeped out other peoples names at the start and also didn't name the Prem manager who took ??50K and was collecting the other ??50K.

The saddest thing for me is that this mud (or crime) tarnishes what we have acheived I like most other Bolton fans am massively proud of our club and what we acheived and to see our name and one of my personal heroes dragged through the mud like that was heartbreaking.

Exactly, innocent til proven guilty.

If the BBC had secret film of other people saying you liked small dressed up as postman and that you smoked crack doesn't make it true until they find corrobarative evidence such as yourself balls deep in a seven year old, whilst warming your crack pipe!!!!

Hard evidence.

i have sent an e mail to the club showing my support.

All I have heard from other so called Fans since last night is about this programme

For one I did not watch it as I wasn't in and two I wouldnt have watched it anyway because I am not the slightest bit interested in a bit of hearsay from the BBC who quite clearly hate us anyway

IN SAM WE TRUST

BOLTON TIL I DIE

Too many wearing these today.

Guilt by association I'm afraid.

Ian Huntley was not guilty until he had his court hearing and got sentenced.

I think Traf is correct. People are backing Sam - when none of us really know the truth. What we saw last night was obviously a diluted indication that there is potentially evidence that will commit Sam to the dustbin. IMO if he is lining his pockets via his son's pockets with THE FANS hard earned cash - then he's go to go. Sorry, but that's how it is.

Don't forget people, he's been touting himself for various jobs. He's attacked the fans for their support. He has frustrated many with various signings and tactics. Don't all jump on the "Big Sam is Innocent" bandwagon now.

one thing matters to me

not whether he's innocent or guilty

where we finish in the league

sorry to all the purists

i dint think anyone was sayin sam was innocent, but they are saying theres nothing proving he is guilty either.

The overwhelming groundswell for Sam is nothing short of amazing.

You're all rallying round a man who doesn't want to be our manager and has little regard for its fans.

assuming your statement was correct, and i don't agree it is

so what

he's the best man for the job

the end, imo

traf, youre as bad as natasha...

nobody (that ive seen) is saying same is clean as a whistle and yes everybody wants to know the truth, but give the red ginger a chance to defend himself 1st will ya...

He's the best thing since sliced bread, Sam for Prime Minister (but he prob isn't dodgy enough for that job)

He is THE BEST MAN FOR THE JOB. And yes, I'll carry on backing him for his football management of BWFC. But no more.

traf, youre as bad as natasha...

Nah, my cock's not as big as hers.

Glad to see with no actual evidence and the first hint of trouble you've jumped ship.

Tell me, does your high horse fit well on that soap box?

I know Sam chastised the fans? Have we never chastised him? We support him now because he needs it, and he's not been proven guilty, only accused by entrapped slimeballs.

If this is directed at me:

I owe Sam nothing.

Sam has been an ineffective manager of OUR club since February IMO. I am not jumping ship. I will always be a Bolton Wanderers fan. I am not a fan of Mr Allardyce.

We should show him our support; it's at times like this you find out who your friends are. And if there is further damning evidence that wasn't broadcast there'll be a number of other managers quaking in their boots.

I can understand your feelings Traf, but can you honestly say that our position in the prem isnt owed to Sam? He didnt build this club back up or manage us to avoid relegation, then to Europe.

If you stop caring about him in february, it seems like you enjoy standing on the shoulders of giants.

If you stop caring about him in february, it seems like you enjoy standing on the shoulders of giants.

Actually I preferred Definitely Maybe and (What's the Story) Morning Glory.

Lets get in the real world on this one!

Personally I couldn???t care less if Sam isn???t quite whiter than white, fact is we???ve had the best times with him as manager in the clubs modern history. If someone tells me that in order to have seen Youri, JJ, etc, etc in a white shirt at the Reebok there???s been a few payments made to whoever I just don???t care!

As for the argument that if someone???s taken a ???bung??? it???s the fans money that???s gone missing, it???s no different than any other walk of life so don???t anyone moan about it.

???Bungs??? in one form of another are the way the whole world works, fact is it???s juts called something different like hospitality or incentivisation! You may think you don???t but most of us take ???bungs??? everyday single day of our life.

Examples,

Savings on 2 for one offers at supermarkets ??? you???re effectively taking a non cash ???bung??? every time you buy one just so they get your future custom, bottom line is they just add the cost of what they???ve just given you for ???nowt??? on to other items so ultimately you / ???the fan??? pays!

When you sign a contract with a mobile phone company and they give you a ???free??? phone, is that not a ???bung????? They only reason they do it is they want your custom. Bottom line is again that you / ???the fan??? pays for it long term in one way or another.

Anyone who works in any major industry as I do (which premier league footy now is!) knows full well that ???hospitality??? / ???incentives??? (or are they ???bungs?????) are offered as standard practice.

As for the programme last night I???d just endorse all the other comments, if there???s all this other conclusive evidence, I do believe they mentioned that 18 current and past managers had been implicated, where was it???

Best bit for me, other than the BBC trying to make it out to be an issue, was PG trying to flog a fast fading JJ for ??3m, he should be congratulated on that one, just a pity we didn???t get it!

Anyhow on a final and lighter note what about this for a chant the next time we score??????.

Never mind those West Brom fans bouncing about and ???boing, boinging???, from Pompey onwards it???s bounce up and down singing ???BUNG, BUNG??? when we score, now that???ll look good on telly!!!

excellent

one problem

we don't score :p

the lot of them, we are BWFC and we don't give a f??ck

one for all and all for one

kick to kill

we back Sam
