Did Nt Watch The Programme Last Night...but...

people are saying 'it is all a load of bollocks'

BUT

by that do you mean that you are sure BSA has never taken a bung ?

or that he might have and it was never actually proven ?

or that it happens eveywhere and we are being singled out ?

in panroma carried a story slagging off the labour party or BNP people tend to beleive it but becayse it affects us it is all made up ?

what o do nt get is that people are saying clubs involved should be penalised, but if we have signed a player using the clubs money to buy a player and then give the manager and agent a bung surely the playing aide of the club is what is most affected ? we should be awarded extra points to make up for it.

if last night's program was the evidence for Sam taking a bung, then it's b??ll??cks

we were singled out because they had his son on film, had it been Jamie Redknapp the agent, it would've been all about 'Arry

Everyone on here seems to be backing him because nothing was proven.

But there was enough in the prog to suggest that he has.

Its for each individual to make up their own mind.

Whether or not that compromises his position at the club, well time will tell.

Back cover and 2 pages inside the Daily Mail about it. BUT a smaller column from the DM sports writer says that the prog gave off a little steam, rather than an explosion. And it happened to be BSA who got the first degree burns from the prog. However, he is clear that it didn't really shake football - nothing new was revealed.

I notice Talksport have avoided the topic so far.

Oh, and the DM have printed our match report twice in two different places in the paper! BIG NEWS, eh!

Aye :o

I dont really care if bungs happen or not.

I frankly dont give a toss how a player ends up at a certain club any more than i do about the recruitment process for the local tesco.

What does bother me is the fact that the bbc by their own admission, have singled out one club/manager/agent and slung mud.

Isnt there something in the bbc's mission statement about providing a balanced un biassed view ( theres a posher word but ive gone blank)

If so, then how can they make a program so one sided, involving only one club and then briefly state at the end that they have other names, that they have chosen not to involve them in the program.

I dont really care if bungs happen or not.

I do ..... for several reasons.

1. Why should a manager who already earns a ridiculous amount of money receive any money in an envelope when I have to pay tax on every penny that I earn?

2. Do we really want our manager to be making signings based on the amount of money he will be making from the deal? I want the decisions that our manager makes on where to spend my hard earned money to be based purely on footballing ability and nothing else.

There is no smoke without fire though!

Remember what happened to Dave Jones after the unfounded allegations of abuse in the childrens home he worked at. He was never the same manager again.

Bottom line is that the money that goes to agents and bungs is the fans money so belongs to all of us. So yes I like you I damn well care if there are bungs or not.

I don't get why any manager would risk everything for what is effectively a couple of weeks wages for them ?

I do, out and out greed...............it's an affliction that all human beings uffer from

good point - but I suppose not one that tells us much about guilt or not.

All in all I think this will be a blessing in disguise - the fuss will die down but it will scupper Sam's chances of a move to a big club in certainly the short to medium term and will also curtail his media work - no more QOS for sure and I suspect ITV have crossed him off their list of potential panel members for Euro 2008! But that's good - instead of touting himself round to England etc, grabbing every media opportunity and whinging to the world about everything (including us as fans) he may just now quietly get on with the job that (i) he's paid to do and (ii) he's best at, which is keeping Bolton in the Prem and moving us forward. :good:

Aye......couldnt give a fook!

Must be proven, but still a tad funny!

The programme didn't prove Sam had taken a bung, but it showed it was highly likely that he was privy to the dodgy deals of 3 bent agents: Temi Yarimi, Peter (Rivaldo) Harrison and most damningly Craig (Slug) Allardyce.

The only surprise last night was the non-appearance of Willie McKay to complete the set of crooks.

No smoke without fire and the beeb are going to use 53 minutes of a 60 minute programme on one club if they felt they couldn't later substantiate their claims.
