TBH was linked with Portsmouth at the beginning of the season, I just laughed it off. The only reason he'd go there is because he'd be offered about ??30k p/wk more than he'd be on here, the reason Andy Cole joined Portsmouth.

I'll be absolutely shocked if we lost Davies, I don't think he'll leave. He'd be poor at anywhere else, he couldn't even get in the Millwall team before he came to us.

BWFC can not be held to ransom by one player so should we take any reasonable amount of cash offered in January

 

or hope that TBH continues his good form and guides us to a European place for next summer. Even if this does not tempt him to stay, at least we will probably make more money in Europe next season than the lost transfer income in January?

If we have a decent replacement BEFORE he possibly goes, then yes.

 

If not, no. He's too valuable to the team. We probably won't get ??3m for him in the January window, isn't worth it, especially when he's one of the players who could get us into Europe.

how do we know he is being ungrateful? what have the club offered him 10k a week, instead of 5k?

Ben Haim has made no moves to show any interest to stay at Bolton since contract talks started last summer.

 

Sure he probably thinks he can get more elsewhere but (as Casino stated) BSA and Gartside have to put a price on each players worth and obviously TBH thinks he is worth more than what is being offered...

cannot see davies going but if he did the only thing that would concern me is we would get nowt for him, tal ben haim, would be a big worry should he leave we would need to spend big money to replace him, for the record i think tal will be away in january, i think it is a done deal either to pompey or my guess is he will end up at west ham, with benayoun.
