Davo Not Keen On Little Sam?

Is it just me or do Big Kev's comments that Garside "should carefully consider" the appointment of our next manager make you think that the obvious choice of Sammy Lee isn't to his taste.

PS where has this comment come from?

I saw it on tele-text, think it was on the BBC so it must be completely factual.

PS what are we supposed to think about?

Davies wants right man

Bolton striker Kevin Davies believes the Trotters must make the right appointment in the wake of Sam Allardyce's shock resignation.

Allardyce's departure from Bolton has been confirmed - and Davies wants the club to choose his successor carefully.

Davies told Sky: "It's something the chairman (Phil Gartside) must really consider. We need to get the right boss but we'll have to wait and see."

Garty's comment on an interview on SSN:

"This is about moving the club on to a new era."

Allardyce's assistant Sammy Lee has been placed in temporary charge and speculation is likely to turn to who will be appointed as his full-time successor.

And Gartside added: "We'll reflect on that over the next few days. Better things come in smaller packages maybe."

I think people might be reading too much in the smaller package quote.

Allardyce was known as Big Sam. With the exception of possibly Martin Jol, any manager will be a smaller package.

Also, consider this, an entourage of BSA, his son, his nephew and Max Clifford could be viewed as a big package.

Thinking outside of the box may be required, folks.

You're the betting man Traf.

MOTD 2 report that some on-line bookies have stopped taking bets as all the money is flooding in on Sammy Lee.

Any truth in this?

norwich said this was the case earlier

bummer for norwich as he reckons lee isnt the man

No it doesn't mean Lee isn't to his taste at all. Little Sam is full of praise for Davies and describes him as a very important part of our team. I haven't seen anything to show that Davies thinks bad of Lee. It is just a random clich? comment that people make at these times.

wouldn't read anything into gartside's comments
