April 29, 200719 yr Is it just me or do Big Kev's comments that Garside "should carefully consider" the appointment of our next manager make you think that the obvious choice of Sammy Lee isn't to his taste.
April 29, 200719 yr Author I saw it on tele-text, think it was on the BBC so it must be completely factual.
April 29, 200719 yr anyone got a web link to this? http://www.teletext.co.uk/sport/news/stori...its+Bolton.aspx Davies wants right man Bolton striker Kevin Davies believes the Trotters must make the right appointment in the wake of Sam Allardyce's shock resignation. Allardyce's departure from Bolton has been confirmed - and Davies wants the club to choose his successor carefully. Davies told Sky: "It's something the chairman (Phil Gartside) must really consider. We need to get the right boss but we'll have to wait and see."
April 29, 200719 yr Cheers Little Sam for me Garty's comment on an interview on SSN: "This is about moving the club on to a new era." Allardyce's assistant Sammy Lee has been placed in temporary charge and speculation is likely to turn to who will be appointed as his full-time successor. And Gartside added: "We'll reflect on that over the next few days. Better things come in smaller packages maybe."
April 29, 200719 yr I think people might be reading too much in the smaller package quote. Allardyce was known as Big Sam. With the exception of possibly Martin Jol, any manager will be a smaller package. Also, consider this, an entourage of BSA, his son, his nephew and Max Clifford could be viewed as a big package. Thinking outside of the box may be required, folks.

Any truth in this?

No it doesn't mean Lee isn't to his taste at all. Little Sam is full of praise for Davies and describes him as a very important part of our team. I haven't seen anything to show that Davies thinks bad of Lee. It is just a random clich? comment that people make at these times.
April 29, 200719 yr wouldn't read anything into gartside's comments rivaldo fax in pocket okocha is not for sale etc
