Brains Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Forgive me, but I was from an era when no player was bigger than the club. If you want someone in the sticks who is not interested (as we saw with Ben Haim), then fine. But don't come moaning on here when he can't be bothered. If he decides to play out the final year of his contract to secure a job with another club, it would be in his own interests to play his socks off in order to attract potential clubs. He isnt gonna attract many potential employers by p1ssing about, and that gives us another twelve months to replace someone who only cost us ?100,000 10 years ago. And thats if he decides to go.
Casino Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 i wonder if theres something in his contract about entitlement to a testimonial i know that there'd only be 5 thou bothered to turn out at the best of times be interesting to see the reaction of the whites faithful if he's still bowt contract
whiteboy Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 so jussi goes and we have less than 2 months to find and buy a new number 1 for what could be a very challenging season he stays and we have a great keeper for the season who has been part of a very successful defence and a full 12 months to find a new keeper. i know which i prefer
Guest crazytrain Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 I'm sure I read somewhere that Walker is leaving (if not already left??), and I've just seen (albeit reported on Tribal Football!) that Sunderland are about to offer ?6million for Jussi. I'd rather we kept him but if he does want to go to Sunderland, it can only be for the money and we'd be daft not to take that kind of money (if its anywhere near the truth).
mc.google Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 back in europe, big finish for us again this season and he wants to go,think its all bollocks,im not joking i feel like we have been relegated with all this he's going im going
Traf Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 If he wants to just see his contract out, that's fine providing he gives 100% effort in the games he plays. It would be quite funny if he suffered a career-ending injury in the last training session of the season after a particularly heavy challenge from Abdoulaye Faye!
