Maybe I am dumb but why would you want to move from a team competing in Europe next season to a team in a dog fight all next season? And dont tell me it's the money. I cant see Sunderland offering any more than us can you? What do we thik the real reason is? Answers on a postcard.

In other words he will probably be off at the end of the season for a big cheque and jack for us.

george Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 he also had shocker against Man u. and the 2-1 at home to Man utd turned in to a 2-2 due to Jussi freezing and stopping on his line at the corner kick. Branagan was an excellent keeper but Davison and Ward both did adequate jobs when he was injured.I think Allardyce's team were that well organised/negative that Jussi had less to do than most keepers.Until last Christmas anyway.
Happy Wanderer Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 My money is on Jaaskelainen out and Carson in by the end of this summer. Although the Fin has been a great 'shot stopper' over the seasons he has had his moments in poor decision making and dreadful kicking. Carson is a young enough keeper, British and has a future ahead of him. I just hope that lil Sam doesn't raid Liverpool too much as we will almost be their reserve side or cast-offs at least.

He has kept us in so many games over the years, been consistent. Yes his kicking isn't the greatest but 10 years of service and nobody to challenge him has been fantastic. The majority of reports we are hearing are rumours. Jussi is a great keeper. If he is holding the club to ransom - get rid, if it's Bolton being picky - sign him on. Nobody knows the truth so don't begin criticising him.

Has he come out and said anything much? Nope. We don't know much. It probably is the money but is it him being greedy or Bolton being tight? We never seem to wrap up a transfer deal quickly because we are constantly negotiating terms with players, maybe it's the club?
