I can't believe this thread has developed into people picking holes in our player of the season finding his mistakes.

He has kept us in so many games over the years, been consistent. Yes his kicking isn't the greatest but 10 years of service and nobody to challenge him has been fantastic. The majority of reports we are hearing are rumours.

Jussi is a great keeper. If he is holding the club to ransom - get rid, if it's Bolton being picky - sign him on. Nobody knows the truth so don't begin criticising him.

Correct bwfcy2k!

Does anyone remember our happiest time as a Bolton fan a few years ago when we beat Man Utd 2 - 1 at Old Trafford and Jussi pulled off one of the best double saves I have ever seen.

We just seem to remember te cock ups dont we? And never the good sides to him?

Shame on you all!

Quality. No keeper int he world has been mistake free for 10 years in a row.

Jussi has been great but let us move on. He wants to go, fine, we can replace him and in 10 years who knows, we may be saying how great Ali Hasabi/Carson has been for us.

And in a spooky twist of fate, it will also come weeks after Sammy Lee leaves us for a 'big' club and is then foud to be a liar and a scumbag.

:D

Just to add to the rumours - just been told we will be signing Cisse & DUDEK? - As with all rumours I won't believe it unless I see them on the back page of the Bolton News with a Wanderers shirt/scarf.

how about if Gartside says he has a fax in his pocket?

Ive been told from same source as Mccann and Guthrie info that Jussi is seing out his contract til the end of the season and then reassessing the situation, he was told this by his agent dickface Harrison. In other words he will probably be off at the end of the season for a big cheque and jack for us.

You wont go far wrong if you listen to tylswhite.

How does he do it ????

jussi to stay

We need an outing of who is behind tylswhite.

He is now breaking news on WW 24 hours before the rest of us hear about it.

Well done and keep it going.

As for Jussi seeing out the final year of his contract - fcuk him. We need to get a keeper in to replace him next summer - so lets do it this summer and give Jussi the choice - piss off now you money hungry tw?t and we bank ?2M+ or let him rot in the reserves.

Drop him, sell him - let him go & end his career at some relegation-threatened club where he can double his wages.

As for Harrison - I hope his mother dies in a freak yachting accident :good:

Why are we allowing him to dictate to us?

Get a replacement in and put Jussi out to dry.

See how big a wage he can command after 12 months playing only reserve team football

see if you still think that when Ian Walker is made no.1

Another fine intelligent post from the Sam Hater

While there is a big temptation to cash in now, it gives us another chance to persuade Jussi to stay in the next six months. We could still sell him in January 08 albeit at a lower price, but we snow ave the increased wages we presumably have offered him, until he does go. Jussi is also taking a chance by staying, he will be another year older (33?) and closer to retirement. Also always vulnerable to the risk of an injury to scupper his next move.

Read the post, I said get a replacement.

I would not be happy with Walker in the sticks

al habsi?

why buy another keeper leading to 4 on the books, one of whom is very good?

and if you're going to put him out to dry, why play him in the reserves?

I presume you are joking, we aren't playing Championship Manager here, we can't afford to let valuable assets rot in the reserves if we have no intention of playing them, you numpty

Spot on there!

I agree.

Jussi has yet to come out and moan about the situation, his only comments in recent months have been that he wants to stay. All the noises are coming from his agent, we all know Harrison is a prick and is trying to wraggle as much as he can out of the club. I wouldn't be surprise is further talks occur towards the end of the year. Whilst he's here play him, as there aren't many better.

I am assuming that Sammy Lee (with the input of Fred Barber) are saying that Walker and Al Habsi are good back up keepers for the odd game here and there but are not of the quality required to play a full season in The Prem.

Thus we are looking for replacements if Jussi moves on.

IMO if this is true, we need to get rid of either Walker or Al Habsi and promote one of the younger keepers to third choice - otherwise they will never get the chance to be a first team squad member never mind play in a match.

Forgive me, but I was from an era when no player was bigger than the club.

If you want someone in the sticks who is not interested (as we saw with Ben Haim), then fine. But don't come moaning on here when he can't be bothered.

There's folk on here who've been moaning about us having one of the best keepers in the country for ages.

I wouldn't let it worry you too much.

I may have missed this earlier up the thread but if not then you've missed something - we can't get rid of the tw*t and get a new keeper in if he won't sign for someone else. Gartside's no fool, he knows ?2 or ?3 mil now is better than nowt next season. Personally it looks to me like he thinks he can do better than Sunderland/Villa.

I dont think Jussi has any intention of seeing out his contract. He's just saying to the club, let me go or I'll make sure you don't get a penny for me. In turn LSL has stated he would be delighted if Jussi stayed until the end of the season. I dont believe a word of it. Just player, agents and manager playing the media game and jockeying for position.

Goalkeepers are easy enough to replace. He is a good one but the howler against Charlton last season cost us two points.

And who can forget Rodney Jack

And his 2 penalty saves at Blackburn saved us 2 points.
