Lee targets Swedish winger

 

Bolton are said to be lining up a swoop for Nantes winger Christian Wilhelmsson as Sammy Lee looks to strengthen.

The Wanderers boss is looking to add more width to his squad for this season after switching to a 4-4-2 formation and Sweden international Wilhelmsson is said to be on his wanted list.

The winger is currently tied to Nantes but spent much of last season on loan in Italy with AS Roma. The Serie A outfit have yet to pursue a permanent deal for the player and that has kicked off reports he could be heading to England.

 

Tottenham have also been strongly linked with a move for the player but Lee also maintains an interest and could pip Spurs to the post if he makes an early move.

It was ?2.5 million earlier in this thread, if we really have offered ?1.4m something doesn't add up.

It was a good deal less than that when the BBC first started touting him round a few weeks back.

the guy who usually tells me the info has said he heard that weve bid 2million for wilhelmsson and are the only ones to have had a bid accepted. This is not as 100% as the mccann or guthrie deals but none the less he seems to think we are trying to get him.

The FC Nantes accepted an offer of Bolton for Christian Wilhelmsson. The English club is now to find an agreement with international Swedish. Christian Wilhelmsson could cover the shirt of Bolton well the next season. The FC Nantes, indeed, has just accepted an offer of almost three million euros of the "Wanderers" for international Swedish. The English club now tries to convince the player "Chippen" has other contacts but Bolton would have a good length in advance on the file. One speaks about a three year old contract.

Is he quick? because pace is what we are short of.

I remember seeing him in the world cup a couple of times & was impressed, I would say the nearest thing in the premiership is aaron lennon small mazy winger, and has decent pace.

I for one hope he comes.......
