We also missed a trick when we appointed Sammy Lee, we should have appointed Glen Hoddle

we should of appointed Sven and kept Sammy Lee as coach

1) Certainly nothing bitter here.

2) For me, the brand of football, no matter how high we finished was not justified.

1) So the 'hater' bit is used in it's best sense as in 'I'm a lovable hater'?

2) We've had this debate before. Relegated with attractive, free flowing football or UEFA Cup qualification with a more pragmatic style? I know which I'd choose every time.

BSA will always be fondly remembered in these quarters as a member of the 'twin towers' with Paul Jones and the man who turned the club around and did what no other had been able to do since the early 60's (i.e. a consolidated top flight club).

Two other questions. TSO - is Gartys missus a looker then? Samhater - do you have an unnatural interest in Dean Windass, topless sunbathing and Spear & Jackson shovels?

Don't forget the hot dog sausages!

Does me fooking head in. Fair enough, everybodies entitled to their opinion. I am of the opinion that without his 8 years at the helm we would never have been in the upper reaches of the EPL and, quite possibly, not even been in the EPL at all.

Every reason under the sun trotted out - 'fat lying tw@t' 'media whore' etc. but the plain truth is it is just bitterness that he wanted to move on. Like an acrimonious divorce, you'll get over it one day and realise he did a lot more good than bad for BWFC.

His stubborness, bending of the truth, manipulating the media and a lot more positive attributes are what make great managers look at Wenger and Ferguson. We accepeted this when BSA was our manager. He is one the greatest if not the greateast manager we have ever had, I will be showing my appreciation accordingly with polite applause and then getting behing Sammy and the boys for what I hope will be our first 3 points of the season.

As would I if I could be there =D>

One consolation for you Bolty, it will probably be p'issing down

Not really, R. It's fooking p1ssing down here too. We need it though - we only get rain for a few weeks in late June, July and early August so the reservoirs need to fill up or we'll be on water rationing. Look on the bright side - I hear you're due a heatwave commencing Setember 17th :yahoo:

Back to the plot though - irrespective of whatever anyone thinks of BSA; come on you white men! 3 points on the opening day of the season will do me nicely.

Simply in total disbelief that any Bolton fan with integrity could boo Sam.

Quite honestly this is unbelievable - the rest of the football world will quite rightly mock us. It adds shame to BWFC.

Show some class and thnak the man who gave us more than we could have ever imagined.

Good luck Sam - BWFC legend, always.

Why should I thank him for doing his job (which he was well paid and recognised for) when he criticised me (as part of the BWFC fans as a collective) on numerous occasions during his tenure?

Add to that the letter he sent to Marple White calling him spineless for having the audacity to question him picking a weakened team after he travelled to London to see our reserves get whalloped.

Allardyce the manager - grade A

Allardyce the person - grade A c?nt

The more I hear about this letter the more I think it would be interesting to have it aired to all, so people would see what a c?nt BSA can be.

That's your opinion and thanks for that.

God, and to think I thought I was a condescending, sanctimonious, patronising cow (edit: which I am). Hat's off to you, mate. :hi:

Clown. it is because of Allardyce's lack of integrity that this situation has developed.

The bung allegations, the "break from football", the poaching of staff and players, when has Allardyce ever been in the same room as integrity?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I am one of the 3 out of every ten who voted 'cheer' and don't mind swimming against the tide one bit. As far as I am concerned, BSA was a playing legend and a managerial legend for BWFC. A lot easier to spit bile than it is to rationalise and come to the right conclusion. As I said though - each to their own.

as already stated, i'll be there to support bwfc, allardyce is irrellevent.

thats not to say i wouldnt ask for his version of events if i saw him in the street.

It would be very good to see the letter from FSA to Marple on the site,

I'l have a word!!
