Numbers - Revision

Think we could be heading for less than 500 now.

At least we all know the people on this trip will be proper fans who will go out of their way to support the club which will make it better imo. None of the corprate shitheads jumping on etc will make it the best yet. Thats probably why besiktas was so good last time around.

i expected 1500.

A poor following if thats the case.

The truth is that most people want to hop on at Manchester at hop off at the other end in less than 2 hours and walk to the ground. Anywhere that requires a bit of thought and planning and swapping planes will put people off. This IMO is the primary reason before cost although i guess they both go hand in hand.

I know half a dozen people who claim they were organised yet when this team came out of the pot they were clueless. Anyone can book an Easyjet flight to Amsterdam.

Personally it will sort the men out from the boys and smaller followings give a stronger sense of belonging anyway.

It'll be like the Fourth Division away days.

Cant wait.

I thought 1000 would go over, either way...we will still make some noise. We will just have to make up for the people who couldnt make it/chose not to go

complete madness to endure a 16 hour trip home, it completely takes the edge of the trip for me, the day trips are bang on no fooking about travelling to london, or flight to some place 6 hours from where the game is being played, 30 min journey to manc airport, 3 1/2 flight, arrive fresh in the town we are playing in around lunch time 5-6 hours merriment, singing and drinking, watch the game, straight back to airport and back home in your bed for 3am.

that must get close to a 24 hour ordeal

strikes me you're trying to convince yourself there

all the arsing about is what makes the occasion

in and out, you may as well be going to birmingham

anyway, each to their own

experienced both long cheap do it yourself trips and the in and out trips and can quite catergorically state the one dayers were better, maybe it was just the games places and results were better, plovdiv and besiktas were 1 dayers and for me were the best 2 games, as you say casino each to there own, mind you if we get a dutch team in the next round, it will be a do it yourself 3-4 day trip.

The way I look at it is we probably won't get trip like this for many years now. I'd love to look back in years to come and have a giggle about how we got trashed in some out of the way place. People I know who don't watch football think I'm nuts going. With the exception of people with valid personal or financial reasons, I think people who don't go are nuts personally :pardon:

Two years ago, Plovdiv/Bourgas & Besiktas were the official 1-day trips - well, 2 days for me as I lived nowhere near Bolton then.

Guimaraes was a 3-night family trip to Oporto.

Marseilles was a 2-night trip with London Whites via Nice.

Hard to pick which was the best trip - all were belters for different reasons.

One thing's for certain - I agree with Squidgy : "With the exception of people with valid personal or financial reasons, I think people who don't go are nuts personally".

As I've said before for me its all about the experiences of the trips - and yes, sorting them all independently thus far has contributed to that, but I also want to delibarately do a one-dayer later just to see what that is like (and in fact I'll have no choice if its match day 3 of the league games). Then to complete me set I want one flying from the bloody East Midlands Airport ie 10 minutes away in the car

The 'Official Travel Club - TMG' plane still isn't full, there are still 32 places left and this is the first plane! COME ON WHERE IS EVERYONE HIDING????? My revised estimate on numbers going - 450 / 500 at a push, assuming they dont cancel the bloody plane.

looks like similar numbers to Besiktas, I think people are holding back for a better trip, that is a dangerous game in my book, snatch the moment I say.

Sub 500 IMO.

I'd say there's not much more than 500. What with the ticket office having time to phone everyone individually to tell them their tickets are ready. Or is that just their super efficiency and top customer service ?

375 / 400

Still going for a more chirpy 1,000. There's the best part of 100 going off here ffs! :yahoo:

1 plane from club - 250, so 750 making their own way there, I hope so but doubt it.

the club have sold nearly 200 for the official plane, i think 100-150 will travel by there own steam, definitely less than 400.

Only 100-150 independents?

I've got 55 of them coming via Sofia!

hope I am wrong but I cannot see too many more than that travelling.

Must say a couple of thousand would have been nice but, as others have said, those in Skopje are BWFC to the core. I, for one, can't fooking wait to be back with my own.

I bet you can't:
