just been on ssn denying he is being linked with lsl job...

where theres smoke

I'd rather have former fan's favourites staying as fan's favourites. Big Sam came here as a former player, became the best manager ever to ply his trade at BWFC and then became the Judas who f?cked off to a bigger but less successfull club.

That's what he'd have you believe.

Truth is he won feck all.

A backwards step IMO.

He'd be worse than LSL.

Right on! What did Allardyce ever do for this club?

Oh, hang on a minute.......

Agreed. Think it would be an awful mistake. At least Sammy Lee has been involved in the game for the past 10 years.

I'd be very surprised if it actually happened. I've nothing against Peter Reid personally, he seems like his hearts in the right place and I like the man - but christ knows why We'd want him to become our next manager, especially in our current state. I'd be much happier sticking with SL and seeing how we progress. Speaking of our fixture list, I actually think it might do us good playing against some of the bigger sides. Can seeing us having more points after this run of games than we've managed so far!

If we're going to make a change, it's got to be done quickly. Owen Coyle is the man for me. Okay he's only managed in the scottish leagues, but that is the same for Ferguson before he went Man U. Coyle's been fairly successful up there and likes the club. The alternative is Neil McDonald.

I'm not saying he didn't do anything, but he's not the best manager this club has ever had, despite what the big bioned fella would have you believe.

owen coyle my arse a mediocre player, who is managing in a semi proffesional standard of football, that would go down well with anelka/diouf and the rest of this bolton squad, you talk some shite bolton ways.

He's a booer. MK, ignore it.

Someone suggesting John Collins the other day - a good shout. Seems to have the making of a decent manager and he would surely be respected by the team as he was a quality player. If Lee goes its either going to be a '17th place will do' appointment like Jewell or a gamble like Collins.

It is 52 years since Newcastle won a domestic trophy

But only 49 years since Bolton did

hes the most sucsessfull manager for us since jimmy arnfield, fact.

but back to the point reidy did manage to keep leeds up a few years back and could possible do the job but im not to convinced myself, think there are better managers availeble

well, thats bollocks

I'm no fan of Lee, but jesus, Peter Reid? No thanks, rather have Sammy. Reid is an inarticulate clown. The documentary of Sunderland is my abiding memory of his management style, and complete lack of any tactical analysis. Just shout fcuk this and fcuk that at the players and we'll win. Well played Peter. =@

must have forgot about bruce rioch and Ian greaves.

i remember us hounding greaves out, too

in fact, i feel ive played my part in seeing off a few managers over the years, and do you know what, its never made things better

must have forgot about bruce rioch and Ian greaves.

sorry hands up there my mistake got my history wrong greeves was more sucsessfull but dont agree that bruce was more sucsessfull, maybe the most exsiting time in resent history but finnishing in the top 8 three seasons on the trot is hard to beat

i think the point is that rioch was more successful than armfield

anyway, none of em come close to fatman

This manager has won 1 game this season, and we're still play a top-quality side.

It can't possibly make things any worse, especially not when you look at the fixtures coming up.

The worst that can happen if we sack Lee is that we get someone else in who is just as bad, but I'm starting to remember the days of Roy McFarland more and more recently.

I want LSL out, but can think of no f?cker decent/willing enough to take a job with a club on the slide & with no money.

Depressing times...............I blame the ticket office.

They have won a European trophy.

i had no problem with appointing him, seeing as he's been manager in waiting since he arrived

gartside said too much - i understand why - setting lee up for a fall

lee pissed me off with his ripping up of what worked - but then it hasn't worked for 6 months, so i dunno on that one

i think he's learning from his mistakes, so back in a little bit of credit

his big signing is showing some promise

i just feel its not time to change

i'd not sack a manager just on the back of a string of poor performances/results

it's got to be about the bigger picture, and i think i trust garty to be the judge of that

if he decides lees had his run, then so be it, but until then i reckon we should support him

I don't think any fan can back a manager who'll possibly have 1 league win in 10 games soon, especially when you consider we've been top 8 for four years now.

Yes, we were on the decline anyway, but with the players at LSL's disposal - we should be mid-table by now.

Lost to Fulham

Lost to Brum

Drew at Derby (and he was happy with that?!)

I'm backing the club to get out of it, but the manager has been pathetic so far this season.

At least he's keeping Kevin Nolan happy anyway <_<
