It looks like Jumbo and Alex are going to make it over for the game.

 

I think it is fair to thank not only the people on here who have stumped up the money but also Simon Marland. Gareth Moores and Sharon Parker at the club.

 

They came up with a way of doing this that did not open people to the risk of using their credit cards with a travel company no one knew or wiring money to somewhere no one was sure about.

 

It is nice to know that sometimes the club can remember how important fans (of both clubs) are.

 

We often knock the club, rightly so, on here, but when they get it right we should also gice them credit.

 

(I am sure that is at least 25% of my season ticket next year now !!)

if someone needs to be thankful to all the Bolton lads, than thats me. so, I wanna say a big, big THANKS to all the lads that contributed to our coming in Bolton for the match. Thank YOU very much!

Just got a message from the club.

 

They are also disapointted that the trip has fallen through, but they are going to send both Alex and Jumbo a Bolton SHirt with their names on the back.

Jumbo, its not often our club has been praised like this. In this instance the club appeared to have done all they can and the shirts are a nice gesture.

If such a miracle was to occur, tickets would be like rocking horse shit after the club doled them out four per person.

All this goodwill seemed to be lost when attendances started climbing again and they started to treat supporters with contempt. Maybe lessons have been learned and things are looking up again.

to be fair that is true to an extent but then they mess fans about when trying to buy away tickets and they claim they have been sent back to the away club despite the fact they didn't go back until the team did and people were buying them in person at the club the following day.....that enough?

My internet has been down since the weekend on my computer. I have to say I am very pleasantly suprised with this thread. I fully agree with all the sentiments in the previous posts (with the exception of Gaarp going of on his own little mental health issues tangent).

 

I do believe there a lot of very good people at the club and we are very quick to get on their back over a lot of issues (admittedly some are greatly deserved). As the little scouse fella continually tells us "we can take a lot of positives from this".

Ive slagged the club off less than most on here, I always thought Carlos was a bit OTT, but it appears I was just being Naive. No offence to Jumbo and Alex who have been great to us all, but I think the least I deserve is a reply from the F?ckers after all the money I spend going every game.
