Prob about right with most things. Anelkas deal will be nowhere near an extra ?20k per week.

We dont pay anything near what most people go on about and I have seen that with my own eyes a few years ago.

I would say anelka was on about ?30 - ?35k per week before his latest deal

isn't anelka quoted as saying he was on 60sih before his new deal

hence why utd aren't/weren't interested in him

now, if we renegotiated to get some sale clause removed (and why else would we have) he's going to have got himself a nice wedge, i'd have thought

I'm sure the stadium would be full if we just played entertaining footie come back Co  lin Todd & Phil Brown !!!!!!!!!!!!! =D>

Well turning on our own supporters isn't going to get people through the gate.

If Casino has got any real solutions then come and tell us. The only way of getting supporters through the door is by adding silverware to the trophy cabinet. That requires investment and that also means running at a loss and running the risk of going bust.

Too many people on here are obbsessed with the size of the crowd. If BWFC wanted the supporters through the gate they would have given Allardyce more money. They decided this season was about reducing the clubs debt (Eddie Davies back in April). That's why we promoted Lee. That's where the Sky money is going.

The size of the crowd (in fact the admission only pays for the policing of the ground) is not as important as the number of replica shirts and souveniors sold. That's where the club really makes it's money. We are the worst supporters in the country for this (that's official). Clubs who have less support sell more replica shirts than us.

The whole thing is based on risk and reward. Put the money in, play entertaining football be successful and people will come through the gates. We have Man U, Man City and Blackburn down the road, Liverpool and Everton a short drive away, so we can't live in a vacuum. We have to compete.

Gartside has set the terms for selling the club very high. A prospective investor has to be a Bolton supporter and have the best interests of BWFC in mind. Well the second one is open to interpretation and how many of the 10,000 has a spare ?200,000,000 in their back pocket, none I suspect. So Gartside won't be selling the club.

Hence low crowds.

*One person giving it 'sack the board' outside the ground was wearing jogging bottoms.

I'm not getting into a football debate with someone who can't be arsed getting dressed properly.

I rest my case! *

NB- I had jeans on you silly mare

the next accounts will show we are losing money (yatesy will be along soon to remind me accountants* can do owt with numbers :good: )

* "Numeric Artist" - as I prefer to call myself

The move from good old UK GAAP towards IFRS lead by Sir David Tweedle has made it alot more difficult to move costs from 'above-the-line' to 'below-the-line' as extraordinary or exceptional items.

The Accounts you see these days in the UK are pretty much a true picture of the companies financial position.

BTW the board consists of three people now. Eddie Davies, Phil Gartside and Bret Warburton.

my dad still swears that the day we remove the name warburton from the list of board members and directors thats when we will start raising our ambitions.

i dont think i could stand by and watch this happen if i was the "owner" of the club and also a fan to boot? someones messed up big style and will be on a very short leash from now on i would imagine.

Diouf will be on the same wage as last year. Anelka will be on slightly more.

Wage bill will be a million or two bigger than last season.

Anelka had a pay rise of MORE THAN ?2m a year.

We have a lot more players than last year eg Wilhelmsom will not be cheap.

Even if they are on "only" ?1m a year, I expect the wage bill will be ?35m this year, which is the same as the TV money.

Is Gartside worth ?250k pa? For part time?

Anelka had a pay rise of MORE THAN ?2m a year.

Nobody outside the club knows the real details of what Anelkas wages were last year or this. To say that he has had a wage rise of more than ?38K per week, without any proof is just foolish

Correct. Through my work, I actually saw JJ's first Bolton contract. Everyone said he was on over ?30,000 pw. He was actually on ?21k with some small bonuses.

I doubt we would have paid ?8m for Anelka and then more than about ?30k pw. I doubt his new contract has increased his money, It might have just put a new clause in stating he can go for ?x amount.

I bet he already had 3 years left on his current one.

Fairish point-just going on what's in the Telegraph, as the most reputable of papers. I would have thought he is now on ?80k per week, and around ?40k before.

Anelka had a pay rise of MORE THAN ?2m a year.

If he has had a raise of 2m and he keeps us up then its money well spent

Very careless, the BWFC staff are supposed to shred the rubbish before you collect it.
