10 F?cking Thousand

Just got back; if I can be arsed to drive 220 miles for the damn thing I'd hope a few more could have dragged themselves a few miles down the sodding road.

I didn't go. People moan about the fact it was only ?15 to get in, well not if you live 200 miles away. Add the petrol and rip off car park, then your talking ?50+.

I honestly think that if the club had come out and appointed a manager that brought excitement, we would have had a few more thousand on last night. Many fans who are undecided will have not gone at the prospect of the ginger fool being there. It is the only way for many, to let PG know their disgust.

The main reason that I don't travel up to mid week cup games is that in the past, we have treated such games as a reserve outing. The way we sweated to get into the UEFA 2 years ago, then treated each game like a kick about made me feel sick. I had no reason to think that given the league crisis, we wouldn't do the same again this year.

Last night, we got a view of what the next 28 games will be likes, 8-1-1 with a 0-0 draw being a huge success. This was the major reason i reduced the number of games I go to under FSA.

And before you say it, if it means going down to play better football, so be it. I would be back to 100% attendance should we try and win games, whatever division that be in. For me, being happy with 0-0 against anyone bar the big 4 is not what I pay my money for.

Each fan has a choice to pay or not to pay. Some BWFC fans can be called fickle, I think it is more like some BWFC are also football fans. The 10,000 mindless sheep will go because 'this is my team'. great, good luck to you, but it just shows how narrow minded people can be. the fact that you were born in a town, does not mean you should just go regardless

Thing is, what's the point in fussing about our league position, saying we lack ambition, then saying that a club like us should be up the other end of the table pushing for a place in the UEFA Cup. When, once in the UEFA Cup, more than half of our "supporters" choose to stay away. What's the point being in the competition? Maybe, just maybe, Gordon Sharrock had a valid point yesterday with his inane ramblings.

I was ashamed of our crowd yesterday.

How many would have made that "extra effort" if it had been at home to Bayern Munich last night.

We're a pathetic club going nowhere IMO..... and the stay-away fans are playing their part in all of this.

With regards to the club - well, they don't seem to have a clue how to market a match of this nature. It was feckin' half term week. None of the "kids have to be in bed early for school" excuses. Why didn't they sell this to all the local schools - family tickets for a tenner, etc, etc????????

And before we get the wrong idea on our fan base, yes, I'd prefer the ground to be full of likeminded hairy arsed blokes, beered up and getting behind the players. But that ain't going to happen is it, so fill the empty void with kids.

I'm inclined to agree with Smiley - we moan and whinge at the club and want the best possible, but our own performances as fans have been turgid.

Now I know someone will come out and say we're the paying customer etc etc, but this is football and it's tribal and it cannot be rationalised (much as we do try).

And I also agree to get more of the scrotey kids in that were at the last European games - some of the young scally birds looked reet mucky!

This is the time to stand up and be counted. If you don't want to go, then don't, I couldn't give a flying one. But don't call those who do, 'sheep', that's unfair & unwarranted.

Change your bait, eh?

oldham, eh?

don't post often on here

but i'm post my confessional on this matter

didn't go last night, may have been tempted if it was the same price as rabotnicki, which i attended

and yes, i'll be there in munich, as i feel it is a game that represents the last vestiges of a fantastic era for the club which now appears to be in its death throes

does it make me a disgrace? this is the first season since 1993/94 i haven't bought a season ticket, due to one reason and another (non-footballing reasons) and games like last night have been lapped up by me over the past decade, cold dour night games with p*ss poor crowds

and i'll no doubt experience them again, very possibly next season in the championship

so i'll let you decide if i'm a disgrace of a supporter, i know in my own heart how i feel about bwfc though

Jesus H Corbett - you 'super fans' really love putting the boot into your own.

We get 10k on - you sl?g the fans.

We sell cheap tickets & manage almost 20k - you sl?g the fans.

Said it before and I'll say it again, night matches at that place are awful. I don't blame anyone for not bothering going, tickets were a tenner (for ST holders) but can you honestly say our performances even warrant that? I thank my lucky stars I was in the pub watching it.

Give yourselves a gold star each, w?nkers.

Angry fans are much more vocal than bored ones.

You've got to admit - supporting Bolton is never dull at the best of times "

Look at sites for Aris and Braga. They drag in great support for nights like last night. Create an atmosphere and INSPIRE their players to perform well.

Like I said before, if we'd been playing Bayern Munich last night, loads more fans would have turned up.

Of course they would - they're a European giant. That'd be the same with any club, not just ours.

As for last night, with all the sh?te going on at the club & us being rock bottom of the league - that's just the way it is.

I fail to see how constantly slating Bolton fans gets us anywhere?

but those of us who go to games still get the p1ss taken for our p1ss poor crowds.

worse still when its from armchair hugging M?nich scum.

I do think the club should have held back the announcement of Megson though.

I think it ultimately affected the crowd last night.

They should have kept tight-lipped about Megson and sent out some positive PR messages.

:yahoo: :yahoo:

Oi Pablo, coming on here and having a wind up at other times is fine. At a time like this, kindly fook off and aggravate some coont on an Everton board please.

As I said in another thread, anyone going to Munich who missed tonights game is a disgrace

Idiot. Your generalised statement is simply ridiculous.

It will take me less time and cost me less to get to Munich. I'll probably come to the Aris home game despite the 500+ miles round trip and be in work the next day.

You're lucky it's half term otherwise mummy would have kept you at home last night I guess!

I wondered as to how many people bought tickets but didn't turn up. I bought tickets on the Wednesday my seat was already taken. When I looked the seat was'nt taken, in fact most of that section was empty!!

Yeah - it was cold! ::::::lol::::::

Braga at home last night, Aston Villa at home on Sunday, City at home next Wednesday.

That's three home games in seven days.

Then we're going to Germany for one of the most excting games in the club's recent history.

Then, within a day or two of getting back, we'll have to fork out again for a home game against Middlesbrough (that'll be a bumper gate, won't it?).

That's without taking into account how fecking dreary it is most weeks, and completely ignoring an away game at West Ham somewhere in the middle.

It's a wonder to me that we had as many on as we did.

And yes, I did go.

Your not the only Club that has these "problems" its what success brings to you!

In fact, its not a problem for you at all, if you have your season ticket, its a cheap do!!!!!!!
